if i remember right, you find an old key on the ground (actualy one of the wooden walkways) in Mideel, and if you break it off in the lock and tell the truth to the shop keeper you get a cursed ring...

This. Though the cursed ring isn't exactly a great item. For completionist it is a must. :D
