I cannot believe there is not a thread about the Stewart/Colbert rally. You all suck. I just got back from D.C. and am appalled at the lot of you.

Did anyone here go or watch it on TV? Wasn't it awesome?

Best parts: the Stewart/Colbert song about America (despite Stewart's atrocious singing), which included such gems as the line in the thread title. Also, Colbert's poem about fear, read by Sam Waterston, which included the phrase "guidos in speedos."

There were some good signs and costumes, too. My friends got more pictures as I only had my cell phone and I had to turn it off due to lack of service. I do have some pictures, though, so here's a crowd picture and a pic of my favorite sign.

I don't have TV, and so do not know anything about this. Did they inspire you to save America?

I tried to look for you on the live feed! but I didn't find you. You must have been hiding int he thousands of people.

I was a little disappointed to be honest. Wasn't as cool as I had expected.

An estimate paid for by CBS put the number at over 200,000 people there. So, yeah, quite a lot. xD

Did they inspire you to save America?

Colbert inspired me to keep the fear alive. BE AFRAID OF EVERYTHING!!!

My grandparents may have gone to this. They're in DC for the weekend and never mentioned why they were going.

I haven't heard anything about this. I knew all about the Glenn Beck rally a few months ago.

That's depressing.

No I was recovering all day from the epic bluegrass festival I went to last night.

True, but there nearly three times as many people at this one than at Beck's.

I don't think I went ten minutes the past couple days without hearing about it.

I heard about this at work. But not really informed about the point of it all. Just knew it wasn't a real political rally according to Colbert and John themselves.

I saw like five minutes of it but it bored me.

Also, re: the thread title, any straight man that likes Glee deserves death. Hell, any man who likes Glee deserve that. In fact, any human being who is not dead but likes Glee deserves a very painful and nasty death. And I am well aware there are Glee fans on this forum. Please die screaming. :)

Only Rally I've sat and watched the majority of and remained interested. It was pretty good and struck some good points. I checked in here and realized there was nothing posted about it so I just hopped into another forum I frequent where a discussion was already active. ;)

What I think is funny is his moment of sincerity is now getting picked apart by the other media and they didn't get the point. They are just picking it apart cause he bashed them. It makes the whole thing more funny.

Amusing twist (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_23Nt5XumaU) on the famous "do you want to end women's suffrage?" poll. Sure, most people don't know who Keynes is, but some of the reactions were funny.

For the record, Obama (and our entire government) is definitely Keynesian.
