I only discovered how amazing sushi was about a year and a half ago. I am ashamed, but glad that for the rest of my days I can enjoy sushi and it's many wonders.
And also, I've only had packaged Tesco/Asda sushi, I have never had fresh sushi, I imagine that would be the best thing ever. It's my goal in life to eat fresh sushi.
You like the sushi?

Do they not have sushi restaurants in England of all places?

I convinced myself to try sushi for the first time a few months ago. I did not like it. It was some kind of vegetable thing. Lord knows I'm not trying bits of crab or fish or whatever. Ack.

Out of all of the Japanese Cuisine, I'd say sushi is pretty low on the list. I enjoy it, but chicken katsu and miso soup and ginger salad are just :o~~~~~ so I rarely get sushi unless I'm splitting a side of it with some friends.

Also, rubah: I finally found a place that does green tea mochi ice cream. ;______; Nums.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone order sushi and not have it come with miso soup.

The place I usually go to has this. It's pretty good.

I enjoy sushi. I always have to be really careful when I eat it though because I'm allergic to shrimp. I always forget what types of sushi have that in it.

Yeah, this.

There's this really awesome restaurant in downtown called Sushi Deli that has awesome sushi that I always get with sake bombs. :jess:

A thread after my own heart.

HOW CAN YOU EAT EEL IT IS GROSS AND RIGHT UP THERE WITH SEA URCHIN YUCK YUCK YUCK.

Or maybe I'm boring. Because tuna is by far the best. Salmon is good, shrimp is good, yellowtail is good, etc, etc.

I haven't had sushi in a while though because last time I had sushi I saw my host brother catch the fish three hours before we ate it. I'm just afraid I'll be disappointed if I go back to "regular" sushi. :(

Eel tastes and looks just like white fish, really not that gross. Sea urchin is also pretty delicious, which was surprising to me. I am sushi ho.

A couple of months or so ago I went to eat sushi with my boyfriend and his friends. I ate like fifteen kinds. The summer and gator rolls were the most memorable.

Sushi is probably my favorite food.

Octopus > Eel.
As much as I love eel, I have to agree. Absolutely nothing beats tako salad!

I freakin' love octopus. I enjoy some sushi, others not so much. It really depends.

I love all sushi. I'd eat it every day if I could.

I'm a horrible cook, but one of the few things that I say I do cook well is a nice batch of various kinds of sushi rolls. My favourite ones to make for myself are the simple ones like salmon or tuna with something like avocado or cucumber with a bit of Japanese mayonnaise.

There's sushi restaurants just about everywhere in Sydney so even if I'm feeling lazy, I'm pretty much covered.

I like the sushi love going on right now. I should of added at the start of the thread - what is the most you would do/the furthest you would go for some sushi?
I don't think I have any limits on this matter.

I could eat sushi every day and never get sick of it. It's my #1 staple food. When I have a tummy ache, I don't want chicken soup--I want sushi. If a week goes by without me having eating sushi my organs, like, start to shut down.

what do you care? I thought you've always maintained you aren't devil man?

Until now, I've never realised the way the sun sparkles in your eyes, the way the wind ruffles your hair. And I thought you've always maintained you're nothing to do with tax audits and trying to soften rackets but your laptop is filled with maple and tripe, it's sickening. :nonono:
Can't help the way I feel, Gepeeé.
