raines was the only interesting character (too bad he was barely in it)
the main crew were all boring and/or annoying
and barthandelus was a tool (but his voice acting was sweet)
thoughts?
No he wasn't. He was barely in it? What game did you play? He was probably the villain with the most screen time.
No.
Tool? How so. Wait, "tool"? What is this, 1999?
In short, you are entitled to your opinion and poor choice of slang terms, even though it is wrong.

There wasn't a single character in this game I didn't like. Barthandelus was pretty cool, but I think my opinion is heavily influenced by his awesome boss music.

I found Cid somewhat underdeveloped, although I liked him. He made for an interesting well-intentioned extremist as opposed to a straight out hero or villain.
The party ranged from awesome (Sazh) to annoying (Vanille), but I'm surprised you didn't like any of them.

While I wish Cid had a hell of a lot more screen time, I strong disagree that he was "the only decent character"

I didn't find Cid compelling or interesting at all. However, for what it's worth I thought his death scene was well done.

I am indifferent to Cid Raines. I was confused about Cid Raines and his role in the plot, but I think that the game handles a majority of its characters and setting in a confusing way.

Still working through this game, but being in the second to the last chapter I think recently saw Cid Raines final scene and I'm still confused on his character. Although far from a fan of this game, I really don't think the main cast is bad. They blend into a story and have more back story and development than many other characters in the FF Franchise. As many flaws as the game has I don't think the characters are to blame. Vanille is a little too cheesy and Snow seems to be lacking in a few brain cells too, but you need that. If everybody had a bad attitude and anger management issues the cast would be be pretty boring.

He was probably the villain with the most screen time.
which says more about 13's paper-thin narrative than his quality as a villain
