Lots of great music this year! Biggest disappointment was probably Interpol - Interpol.

Edit: Gonna be looking into some albums suggested by other people here. I know many of you have a music taste similar to mine. :)

Only picked up two albums that came out this year, as not much else caught my eye. ;p

Kamelot - Poetry for the Poisened.

Now this one isn't as good as Ghost Operah was, but it was great none the less. Lyrical it's great, and the actual music has a lot of energy, as a good power metal band should. The best track is probably either The Great Pandemonium, or The Zodiac.

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach.

Outside of a couple of terrible tracks, and I'm looking at you Sweepstakes, it's a solid album, WHile not as good as Demon Days, it's probably turned out my favorite Gorrila song with Rhinestone Eyes.

I've been meaning to get that Sleigh Bells album ever since I found out that one of my favorite songs off of M.I.A.'s new album was sampled from them. Need it! lol

And thanks Rantzien for reminding me of The Scott Pilgrim Soundtrack, that thing is too good!

Sleigh Bells is a great band.

Also, charliepanayi - I must have said this to you many times before, but you have a wicked taste in music

Thanks Breine :)

And yes, those interested in Sleigh Bells check them out! A very love it or hate it album, but I think it's great, it's like being bashed over the head repeatedly for 32 minutes, but in a good way.

Awesome photo, horrible typography. On topic; completely forgot to check this album out. Will do right away, it's still 2010.

Didn't listen to a lot of new music this year. Of the new albums I can recall, my favourites are both metal:

Enslaved - Axioma Ethica Odini
Ihsahn - After

Of course, Shpongle's Ineffable Mysteries is still king, despite having come out in mid-09.

I got lost somewhere in time, and have not been able to really get into anything since the 90's. I might hear a song now and again that sounds decent, but don't know the name and would not buy a cd. I tried to give new music a shot and tuned into the radio to find a bunch of pop and country that almost sounds like pop, and it scared me. Is rock dead? I'm just waiting for a new sound to come along and destroy and bury this rubbish. Maybe my radio stations just suck here.

Brothers by the Black Keys and Transference by Spoon were pretty awesome.

Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster

it's not like the last 20 years have brought that many great albums in popular music anyway

Try looking somewhere that isn't your average radio station.

I got XM for another two months, I may scope that out better before the trial ends.

This year was pretty amazing music wise, for me anyway.

Frightened Rabbit - The Winter of Mixed Drinks
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
Cold War Kids - Behave Yourself (EP)
Vampire Weekend - Contra
The Black Keys - Brothers
Spoon - Transference

but then... Stone Temple Pilots had to take my hopes and dreams and dash them on sharp, nasty, pointed rocks with whatever that thing was they released. I wanted that to be a good record so bad I physically hurt. But... at least the Stones re-released Exile on Main Street. Concessions must be made I guess. Sorry STP.

Edit: Man, how did I forget. Return of Massive Attack with Heligoland. Amazing.

One more: The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monae. I almost can't just listen to one song, have to finish it each time and still am not tired of it.
