It's been over a year since Eyes On Final Fantasy Forums last played a Final Fantasy title together. This January, the event returns with one of the greatest entries into the Final Fantasy family--Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions.

So find your PSX or your PSP, because it's time to play!

Complete a Single Class Challenge. You may use five characters who all share one single class. They must all be this class before the battle at Dorter Trade City. After this battle, their classes must remain the same throughout the entirety of the game. Also, you may use JP to learn abilities and use abilities from this selected class only. No cheating! :p

Complete a Dual Class Challenge. Similar to the challenge for the Squire Award, except you characters may use two classes. They all must use the same two classes, and can mix and match abilities from these two classes only.

Use only the six classes from Final Fantasy: Knight, Thief, Monk, White Mage and Black Mage. Since there is no Red Mage, you cannot use him.

Edit: Here's a challenge from our own Wolf Kanno. It sounds pretty hardcore. Anyone willing to take it on??

We all know that Tactics is about min/max the ultimate party but its time to put your skills to the test. Your task it to go through the game and build the best party you can while only using the Auto Battle function. You are not allowed to reset when you lose a character and the point is to build a unit so good even the AI can't screw it up. You must complete the whole game without ever directly controlling your party.

This event begins in January. If it's still 2010 where you will be playing this game, you need to wait until after midnight to begin!

And as always, please upload lots of pictures of yourself playing this game. Clothing is optional of course. To earn these awards, you need to upload or link to some sort of screenshot or video or diary of some kind. But, it's not like winning these awards will get you anything! I've asked before, but you really only get bragging rights. But, you're free to post about it in your sig or something. idc

it is ALMOST the exact same game. there are a couple added special characters and classes, and the translation is radically different. i would dare say that the psx version is plain english and the psp emulates middle english with a faux shakespearian text

I just started last night doing the only use moves with charge time challenge. I've only downed Mandalia and Sweegy Woods, and it hasn't really put much of a damper on me.
