Golden-Voiced Homeless Man Captivates Internet - Amplifier (http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/amplifier/51933/golden-voiced-homeless-man-captivates-internet/)

What an incredible story about a man getting a second chance at life: Ted Williams, a homeless man who was a former radio announcer, ends up becoming a viral web hit, and now, he has landed a new job and home! During hard economic times, he struggled with drugs and alcohol, but has now been sober for two years, hoping for a second chance at life, and now, he has finally achieved his dream. What a great way to start off the new year.

No reminder of the Titanic/Hurricane Katrina/Sept 11th?

I heard about this on the radio this morning. I thought it was a really cool story. I liked how instead of just begging for change he'd hold a sign that read "will work for food".

That guy is more annoying than this entire story.

Saw this in the news the other day, and it made me chuckle. A real feel-good story if there ever was one. :p

Neither are homeless people. They smell awful.

To quote Ted Williams himself, "don't judge a book by its cover." And show some empathy too; what if you were homeless?

Then he wouldn't be an asshole on the internet.

Then he wouldn't be an asshole on the internet.

And we'd all be happier.

Impossible. I can't be homeless, I'm a person.

I saw this, too. Go Magic Voice Man! Why didn't you do this before though? Surely he could've busted out a job before getting faced and jacking up his life. Oh well. Go Magic Voice Man!

He can read me bed time stories any day! It's so easy to make mistakes and screw up your life, so I'm glad he's changing his life around.

Actually, I found this (http://www.solarnavigator.net/animal_kingdom/animal_images/Brown_bear_rearing.jpg) picture of you.

His voice is very nice to listen to and Ted Williams definitely sounds like a typical generic anchorman name, so it definitely looks like a promising future for him.

I heard he's getting more job offers left and right... the people at the Today Show on NBC said that they'd like to interview him again in about 5 years from now, so i wonder where he'll be then...
