How about torrential downpours that flood most of the state and also like to take bridges out on dates and never bring them home?!

Last year it did the same thing and I complained like a mothersmurfer about how my house was going to become a houseboat. Well this year my whole smurfing state is going to become a collection of little islands. We can be like Fiji or something and everyone can be partially naked. EXCEPT THEY GET SUNLIGHT IN FIJI.

Side story -- my aunt works for firecom which is the people you talk to when you call your emergency number anyway she can't get to work to help rescue all the idiots that crash their cars or the poor people who are hit by the idiots.

Side side story -- I saw a car under water up to its windscreen off the side of the highway. Stupid p platers. Can't drive for :bou::bou::bou::bou: blah blah (this is funny because I am a p plater. See I poke fun at myself in a roundabout way and you all laugh. It's a good technique).

tl;dr smurf you sunshine coast (and queensland)
oh yeah topic is about rain if you didn't realise

My city had a fucktastic flood about 3 years ago that basically ruined the whole downtown and whatnot.

Then the national news crew came to film it and brought their kayaks to kayak down Main Street. What fun

Kayaking sounds like a good time. But apparently you can drown and that's not cool kids.

Either side of the highway today looked like lakes. Why are there lakes without names guys?

Side topic -- if you woke up to find a lake next to your house what would you call it?

Did you intentionally flip that photo (or find one taken from that direction) just so the water was on the right side? Because it's wrong for us east coasters. Although I suppose it won't matter when our towns become islands.

Wtf is a p plater?

It rained for like a week straight here a little while ago. It sucked.

Not all pictures have to be taken from the South, Dak. O_O

North is second only to east as a direction. You would do well to learn this, good sir. But you can't deny that it would be hard to orient yourself.

P platers are Provisional Platers! They have restricted licenses because teenagers obviously don't know how to drive. I currently have restrictions on the type of cars I can drive and my blood-alcohol limit and a reduced number of penalty points. The P1 license also has a curfew and passenger limits. Basically, it's the failed attempt to keep people safe. :)

EDIT: This is where my aunt lives.

I love the rain, but I'm from the Pacific Northwest so I'm used to it.

Lol, that just sounds ridiculous. Can you not drive cars with large engines?

No, unless it's a diesel.

Well

not 'legally'

:shifty:

Off topic banter anyway, point is that there's so much rain. If I could water bend, you guys would be so fucked.

But the water is all the way down under. I think I'm quite safe in my dry California.

Man I love rain! Where I grew up it hardly ever rained so I felt deprived. So when it did I was super ecstatic. So now if it starts a good rain i grab my umbrella and rainboots and go hop in puddles!

Now I know which state to target first with my killer tidal wave of water bending. There is a lot of water. I am basically looking at the ocean when I look outside my door.

You're not the Avatar! You cannot harm my desert climate, we don't really get a lot of rain.

You could do with a shower or two then. It'll be harmless, trust me. :radred:

What part of California are you living in? The armpit? The rain has been such a bitch this winter.

North in the sense of a northerly wind, which is actually heading south? Or north in the "We're all traveling north to FNQ, gimme another XXXX" sense? Please clarify.

I love rain.
The calm before and after the storm is always so intense.

Even though it is flooding like crazy here, and pretty much every river and tiny creek is going over a road or into yards where there wouldn't normally be any water, I love it. It may be crap sometimes, but I find it exciting :D

Never been crazy about it, but it's not as bad as fierce winds.

I like rain unless I have to walk through it. If I'm indoors or in a car or something though, I love it.

I hate the rain. Not that I mind getting wet, but looking out at it makes me depressed. Hate those gray skies. :(

San Diego, it was pretty wet for about week or so, but it's still pretty dry for the most part.

Living in Ireland I've a love hate relationship with the rain given we get so much! Living in the West Of Ireland was alot worse than Dublin though, I remember back in 2009 when it rained for like 6 weeks straight, not enough to flood just enough to make things miserable! Sucks whats happening in Australia though Jiro

I love rain, but now that I live in Florida it makes me kind of nervous. This whole state is a sinkhole ready to collapse at any minute. A year or so ago a little stripmall was illegally built at the end of the road. They had to raise the land to do it, and now our house is the lowest point of this neighborhood. All of the rain drains to us, so our backyard turns into a pond if we get too much rain.

There's something about a big storm that's actually kind of soothing for me. I like the sound of a storm.

Rain can be annoying if I have to walk in it a lot, though.

My :bou::bou::bou::bou:ty little hometown flooded once. The tail end of Hurricane Katrina. It was the only interesting thing to ever happen there. I got up and was on my way to class (because rain doesn't scare me) and then the bridge washed out behind me and I was like "Well that's just great" and I ended up wading across and calling a cab to get home. Also class was cancelled.

Australia is just sick of being full of Australians.

We get really strong rainstorms here, being an island off the east coast. I enjoy it, because torrential downpour is one of the things I've adjusted to and can even drive in. I'd take it any day over snow.
