Aha, yes, it's another Final Fantasy vs Street Fighter matchup. I found a topic about Tifa vs Cammy on another forum board, so I decided to make one here and let you guys talks about it. Who would win?

Depends on the set-up. In a fair fight with no frills, Cammy. But in super-powered magic fights. Tifa. Its sorta the whole apples and oranges thing though

Another reason why I posted this up was because while Chun Li uses a traditional martial arts style, Tifa is more similar to Cammy in that they fight in a more "mixed martial arts" style.

Being an rpg characther, Tifa can take and deal a ridiculous amount of damage. I dont see how Cammy would stand a chance. How do you think she'd fair with a grenade in her face? Or a Supernova?

If you look at the storyline of the Street Fighter series, Cammy is not that strong compared to some of the other characters in the cast like M. Bison, Rose, Akuma, or Gen. My instinct is to go with Tifa based on how they are assessed in their respective storylines.

As mentioned before it is really hard to compare an RPG character to something from any other genre, because they are all so powerful by the end of the game. Tifa for sure.

Taking away Tifa's materia, best equipment, blah blah, you're still left with her limit break abilities.

Cammy is supposed to be a genetically altered super soldier and habitually takes on and defeats warriors of superior Ki strength with nothing more than her agility, respectable strength, fighting instinct, and good ol' CQC.

I think a leveled up Tifa with no unnatural ability enhancers vs. a government weapon like Cammy would be pretty even.

Tifa, hands down.

Especially if it's a wet t-shirt contest.

This isn't the first time I've heard the "giant knockers equals giant knockout" theory. I dunno, though. Everyone's talking massive damage from Tifa, 'cause we see 9999 on her damage when she's all nice and maxed out. What does that even mean though? We have no relevant scale to compare it too. It's a meaningless number. I still say those two would beat the ever-loving :bou::bou::bou::bou: out of each other.

Those numbers not meaningless. They mean fighting robots and giant monsters with your FISTS and more than likely koing a human in one hit

Tifa because she has 9999 hp while cammy only has somewhere around 2-300.

I think Cammy would win. Have you seen those muscles?

Going by Street Fighter IV she has 900 or 950. If you go buy MvC2 it's in the hundreds of thousands.

Cammy has 950 HP in Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV. The Marvel vs. Capcom series uses 1,000,000 as a starting point for HP, incidentally.

950 is still less than 10% of Tifa's HP.

I don't see why you'd need 1 million HP in a fighting game. Are there even attacks that are less than 10 points of damage apart?

I have it on aka made this up on the spot that 9999HP in FFVII = 3 HP in SF, so Cammy.

Also, Cannon Drill!

I can only go by the type of enemies they are able to defeat, and with that in mind, Tifa wins rather easily. She takes on monsters that are untold amounts larger than her and can defeat them, be they made of steel or dragon-flesh/skin. With her limit break, she can manage to inflict seven powerful attacks on her opponents without any opportunity given for the enemy to counter or react.

No. The health and damage scores are adjusted to 1,000,000 as a starting point because the series capitalizes on larger numbers and more comic book and superhero type of feats.

MvC3's are lower. Phoenix has about 800,000.
