How to add use headphones in series 5 samsung lcd tv (c530)

Okay so the lcd tv does not have a headphone jack. is there a particular setup like some cables to plug in audio of the tv so the sound will go there? thanks.

samsung has an audio out for speaker, can i put the headphones there? it seems it works if i choose external speakers. thought i could not control the volume on the tv.

also its it good to get a tv headphones? i'm planning sennheiser hd 30 tv. will that be good for gaming too?

Sennheiser headphones generally speaking as someone who sells this sort of stuff alongside games, books, music, films are pretty damn good. It takes a lot of beating to do better than them (some of the Beats headphones are and Bose tend to kick the absolute crap out of Sennheisers but cost like 3x more)

However for gaming what you really want is a proper gaming headset as made by companies like Turtle Beach or Tritton. There are reasons for this:

1) they're optimized for gaming, music headphones can be too bass heavy, that or not provide enough bass and TV headphones are generally not going to like the punishment of recreating explosion sounds every few seconds as people throw grenades around, least they won't at high volumes which most gamers will tend to use.
2) they work as a communication headset too.
3) generally they'll come with any and all connections to get it hooked up needed in the best possible sound connection
4) mostly they're wireless.

Point 1 is significant, gaming is pretty detrimental to headphones, a lot of the time is spent ducking grenades. Headphones not designed for this will wear out quicker. Sennheiser are pretty cocky about their build quality they offer a 2 year manufacturers warranty on all their products, even though European law doesn't cover headphones as they're considered an accessory not electrical goods. However Sennheiser are also pretty big dicks about actually acting upon this warranty, they will basically search for anything they can pin on you and blame user error and not do a damn thing. In 3 years of working in a store selling the brand, I have never heard of a customer successfully proving the point to the company and getting a free replacement, people who rely upon that often come in to our store to buy Bose stuff from then on regardless of the cost they just insure them themselves.

Point 2 is a benefit and can help a lot with team co-ordination and also the fun factor. Turtle Beach make some awesome gaming headsets, however whilst lower end models such as the X11 work both on the Xbox 360 and the PC higher end models like the X41 series will only work on the 360 which can be seen as a draw back. Also if you happen to own a PS3 and a 360 both Turtle Beach headsets are with one exception, never compatible with both consoles, you would probably need two different headsets, this could get expensive not to mention being messy in your room. Tritton headsets imho are not quite up (read: they're crap in comparison) to the par of their Turtle Beach counterparts. However you can utilize one set of them for PS3, 360 and even on some models PC gaming. Another nice point about the Tritton range is that they feature on most models a removable microphone, meaning if you don't wish to use them to talk to your team mates you can simply turn the chat off and lose the extra weight which can make some Turtle Beach models feel "unbalanced" or off center.

Based on this my suggestions for which models to look at would be:

7.1 Surround sound Turtle Beach for PS3: These if you can afford the extra programmable options since thats pretty cool if not get the X41PBT headset (http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/ps3-gaming-headsets/ear-force-px5.aspx)

The next one I'll suggest is really the only wired HD option they have for the PS3. However the headset I'm going to recommend here could be a catch-all solution for you. Mostly because it will work with 360, PS3 and PC/Mac systems. DPX21 headset (http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/ps3-gaming-headsets/ear-force-dpx21.aspx) 16ft of cable is a lot, the Turtlebeach X11 and thus the DX11 will have the same length. This isn't too bad since the cable will loop tidily out of the way when not in use and yet will also reach across the average bedroom or living room without the need for stretching the cable or discomfort.

As for Tritton I'm really not a fan of their products since most of their gaming headsets offer only 5.1 surround sound or normal stereo 2.1 definition. wow thanks for the reply! im not so sure i cant find tutle beach in my country, so its a gaming headset rather than tv huh. i also plan to watch movies on my tv. i found plantronics im not sure if that's good or creative.

Turtle Beach should be available in NZ but you might wanna query this with someone who lives there or knows a little more locally. That or frankly if you have friends in AU, get one to buy you a pair and ship em, the weight means it'd be by package delivery but it's still not going to be massively expensive (or shouldn't be at least, I've sent heavier things through the mail)

Yeah Turtle Beach are gaming headsets but frankly I use mine for most things including films on my laptop and they work more than fine for this too.

Creative I know of and they're a mid range company not the worst out there but definitely not in the same league as companies such as Bose, Sennheiser or Turtle Beach.

The other I'm not familiar with sorry.
