Can't get passed the beginning

So at the start of the game when Sin shows up and :bou::bou::bou::bou:'s on fire and everything and that kid comes up and freezes time. Then it keeps going into another scene with Auron, he's all like "Look" and then it goes quite. They're still going through the motions and everything and then Auron and Tidus rubberband into each other and I can't move. What can I do?

That's weird. Are you using anything like Action Replay? Something similar happened to me when I was messing around with cheats late in the game.

It was the disc. I went and exchanged it today and it works fine now.

I had trouble at the beginning as well, but I learned quickly that if you block Tidus' personality and voice out of your mind, it gets easier. ;)

Wow I had that exact same problem with my disk: funfact the character models do the same motion as in the fmv that plays when that happens but we dont get to see it.

The copy Eric bought me would freeze when it got to the part when I had to fight Kimahri. I think it was used. He had to let me borrow his copy and he was not happy about that. lol He doens't like people touching his things.
