1. Galbatorix has almost determined the name of the ancient language- confirmed

2. Eragon will find the stone of Kuthian, speak his true name, and meet the Grey Folk- Unconfirmed

3. The last Dragon will hatch for either Arya, Elva, or Oric-
Unconfirmed

4. The book will have shruikan on the cover-
Unconfirmed

5. The elves and Eragon and Arya will leave Alegaesia forever-
partialy confirmed

6. Eragon will go in search of "the past lands"-
partially confirmed

7. Solembum and Maud will become the rulers of the werecat people-
unconfirmed

8. Eragon will visit an Urgal villiage- unconfirmed

9. more Brisingr stuff-
confirmed

10. Roran will learn to use magic in a way that others cant
unconfirmed either that or his life will be saved by magic at some point

11. Eragon will learn how to use energy from fire-

:erm: A lot of this isn't really confirmed or even suggested. Where's your information coming from?

I called a lot of the "surprises" when I finished Eragon. I thought I was soooo smart, but now I realize that it was just poor writing and not a very original idea. Still, I like the series and I'm kind of excited for the final chapter.

My thoughts:

I wouldn't be surprised if Roran becomes the next dragon rider. Arya either, though I kind of think her only function will be as Eragon's love interest. She's already got long life, Eragon just needed someone to share his new found immortality with.

If I remember correctly (I haven't read Brisingr since it came out) there was an old hermit in some woods that Eragon met after killing the Ra'zac who started fire without the use of words. Clearly he's going to be important. Possibly he's even *gasp* more powerful than Galbatorix.

My guess for Eragon leaving Alagaesia is that he will become impossibly overpowered and with the help of the dragon souls/hearts (wtf were they called again) become some sort of god and ascend with his elven angels. Well, probably not, but I really wouldn't be surprised and if it does happen, well, you all saw it here first.

Actually, it would make more sense if he decided to abandon the people that needed him so badly to go on some stupid adventure with Saphira in some undiscovered land. Honestly, I don't see this book ending without everyone who reads it letting out a great, big "WTF?"

Eragon's going to befriend the Urgals. "They're not evil, just misunderstood." kind of thing. Was it in Eldest that the Varden fought alongside the Krull? I can't remember, I should reread them.

I'm going to have to reread these. I know I had a million ideas when I finished Brisingr but they're not coming to me. I'm sure there will be about a thousand deus ex machina's in it though.

Edit: Oh, what was that dude's name? Roran's wife's father. He has to stay with the elves until his name/nature has changed, and I think Eragon promised him his sight back when the elves feel he's changed. I highly doubt that was the last we'd ever see of him. I think he'll become just as important as Elva, though probably not as unique, what with the nature of his existence.

Everything I have listed and list as confirmed, is definantly confirmed. the guys name is sloan by the way. Also I highly doubt the hermit (angela's former mentor) will make a debut. He is probably about as strong as Angela, but he is just crazy with his magic, not nearly as pwerful as Galbatorix. Angela has a REALLY big secret that if I am right is too big to post even if it is in a major spoiler thread.

There will be more dragon- confirmed

The final battle will take place in Vrongard- unconfirmed

Sooo more Brisingr stuff, Galbatorix knowing the entire ancient language, and more dragons? You're right. That's actually kind of a given.

Also, you don't need to worry about spoiling anything because at this point none of it is fact, it's just a theory. And the movie has been out and hated long enough not to need spoilers.

I don't see why a hermit with an almost unheard of ability to use magic without the use of words wouldn't make another appearance.
