For those of you who didn't know, this isn't a remake, but an origin story of sorts. Instead of the cool confident badass Lara we all know, this is a more inexperienced Lara fresh out of college on her first adventure. Instead of it being a puzzle platform shooting thing, it seems like there's a much bigger emphasis on survival. It looks very promising!

This game does indeed look amazing, though Lara's screams and cries sound more like a porno movie than a game. Still will be good fun to play if only for that reason! :D

Yeah, I think they over did that just a little bit, but it's a major improvement from jumping onto a spike pit just to have her crouch down like "ouch, I scraped my knee!" so they can keep a T rating xD

Why is it NSFW? I watched it without sound, as I am at work.

It looks awesome though. I completely stopped caring about the Tomb Raider franchise after The Last Revelation, but I totally plan on playing this.

I'm not too interested. I haven't even mildly enjoyed a TR since Chronicles, so I refuse to get hyped up for it.
Also, she talks to herself way too much in that trailer. I like silent Lara from the early ones.

Umm...I don't know what Tomb Raider games you were playing. She was never silent in the Tomb Raider 1 through Last Revelation that I played.

Guess I was just comparing it to that gameplay trailer where she doesn't shut up. The only times she spoke really were to say "Aha" when picking up an item, or during some of the cutscenes. Of course the occasional "uh" when falling.

True enough. I still haven't watched this trailer with sound so I don't know how bad it is.

I think it looks very promising. I've been a Tomb Raider fan for years, so I'm eagerly awaiting this new game.

Also, I think the screams and cries work - it's much more realistic.

The only Tomb Raider games I really really enjoyed were TRI, TRII, Angel of Darkness (not so much anymore, but when I was thirteen it was pretty much all I played), and Anniversary. Among the others there aren't any I dislike, but none that I really spent any time on. I haven't played Chronicles, The Last Revelation, Underworld, or the spin-off Guardian of Light at all.

Well she gets impaled and set on fire and dragged through mud and well, like a normal person she screams a lot. In some workplaces it might not be okay!

I too thought the moans were rather ott, and is it just me or did her voice sound... completely different, not what I was expecting, but not entirely objectionable.

I too am looking forward to this game, love the genre.

her accent is a highly educated British accent, I don't see how that can be "different" because she's always been so.

This game has a new voice actress. Not that it hasn't happened before, but I imagine they purposely went for somebody who sounded a bit more naive this time around.

I think I saw some of those generic ledge-looking things on a wall as she was sliding through the mud, but I'm not sure. There's definitely going to be less of it anyway!
