I still think people are paying too much heed to it, but that's just me. Well, really I just don't believe Zhao Yun is a cop. For mine, he was either just joking and going along with the general silly flow of the game, Cao Cao roleclaiming governer, whoever it was doing a fake daykill and so on. If not that, then he was just lying for whatever reason. As of now, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and just assuming he was joking, I would rather wait for him to come in and give his side of the story before jumping to any conclusions. That why this game is so frustrating, mainly. Everyone is being so chaotic it makes the thread hard to read and confusing. Let's get our act together. We can't find anyone suspicious without any reason or logic.

I hate to whip out Lu Bu's Day 1 quote, but it's true: If we don't calm down and get our act together we'll be dismantled. So, I'm gonna request Zhao Yun get in here and tell us what he was saying. We asked very little of others and it's starting to really make this game harder. So, for the sake of gameplay, I'm going to be aggressive if no one else won't.

I think our first plan should be to make sense of the last minute votes for Cao. Why did so many people vote for him when the moderator basically confirmed his role. Zhuge Liang fucked up royally with that one but the facts were out there. Was it mafia trying to get the governor out or people just being dumb? Probably the latter. xD

A lot of the day centered around Cao and Gan Ning going back and forth and now they're both town. So maybe we should look at people who just let them argue it out? I still want to hear from our "cop". xD

@ Guan: It's alright to not believe that he's a cop. It's too early in the game for a cop to make such a claim, and quite frankly, I think it's a foolish move on his part. Cao Cao has been pretty much confirmed as being a (town-aligned) governor-type role, as evidence with yesterday's lynch being prevented by himself. However, why would a cop try to want to prove that Cao Cao is guilty right away? It sounds rather scummy to me, imo.

Anyway, let me make an analysis on Zhao Yun and tell me what you think. I have one vote and I'm not going to watse it this early. Right now, we have no reason to believe a third-party faction like a cult exists, so I will dismiss the notion for now.

Zhao, a relatively inactive player, came in prior to Cao's attempted lynch, after his claims to stop lynches but prior to his role confirmation, and claimed he was cop and Cao was guilty and likely a "Mafia Governor." That seems to be a rather insipid claim, right there. First of all, Governors are always town-aligned, to have a Mafia Governor is very fucking broken, making the game almost impossible for the town to win.

So, we have two other likely explanations.

1. Zhao is lying. And doing it poorly. He tried to disprove an all-but-proved fact that Cao Cao was governor by both claiming he was guilty and introducing the idea that Cao Cao would be a Mafia Governor. Which is highly unlikely and very unbalanced.

2. Zhao is an Insane or Paranoid Cop. This is more likely. However, if he investigated Cao Cao and got guilty, he failed to acknowledge he could be Insane and/or Paranoid. The only way he could know this is by investigated himself (having him discover if either of these are true), and then another (which could give further information on which, if any, he actually is.)

So, before I make a vote, I want to hear what Zhao has to say.

Or he could've been joking, but that is just going to make me RAGE.

Well, I've briefly looked at the action of the past few days and I'm thoroughly confused. We have a most probably confirmed governor, and a host who is saying a little too much?

Ok, so, as I read through I found it difficult to make out much, but I did find a few people to be a little suspicious. Namely Zhao Yun, Zhang Jiao and Meng Huo.

Obviously Zhao Yun for the incorrect claim on Cao Cao, after his role had basically been confirmed. As everyone has stated, these questions need answering!


I found Zhang Jiao a little odd when he started talking to himself, as you can see below:

Initially I only had some weird feelings about the way Meng Huo posts, but I think the reason I find him suspicious is because he seems to post quite often, without really adding anything to the discussion, as if he is posting so that he doesn't look inactive. I find that posts like these simply crowd the thread and make it harder to see valuable posts.
Then there was the fact that Meng Huo voted for our confirmed governor and then quickly unvoted him after Cao Cao went to stop the lynch. We had already confirmed that Cao Cao was a governor, so voting for him was purely a waste a a day's lynch.

Discussing and voting is the only way that we can seek out the scum, so I think that everyone who voted 'just to see what would happen' either didn't think it through enough, or are scum.

In absolute simple terms, without using the actual role names which which confuse things, Liu Bei was a Cop. I, Liu Bei's partner, am the Backup Cop. Completely overpowered? Yes? For clarification, my role dicatated that when Liu Bei died, I was to receive his powers as Cop. But hang on.

The actual names of our roles? Liu Bei was The Rock. It was simple, if he met the posting requirements, he could carry off a successful investigation. At Night 1 he investigated Cao Cao, and reported to me that Cao Cao was guilty. I have no reason to believe this is a false claim.

Why did Liu Bei come up Mafia? I don't know. I assume there is some kind of role which made him look so, but it's bizarre. Go back to Day 1. Does Liu scream Mafia to you? I believe somebody framed him.

Finally, I carried off no investigation yesterday. Because I did not meet the posting requirements. I felt that if I charged in as The Rock then you would suspect me of being the same guy as Liu Bei, meaning you'd think I was Mafia. That's why I had to make this roleclaim, so I can go back into investigations and sort this smurf out.

I just recently had finished up posting the Day 2 voting patterns and was not really keeping up with the vote count, but I knew Cao Cao was near the top of the list to be lynched. I was thinking he was roleclaiming to convince others he shouldn't be lynched, and I was, like, smurf that. Plus, I was and am pissed the whole Zhang Fei BETRAYED thing basically went unnoticed. And then I calmed down, read what was up, and figured I should stick to my initial vote. When the other two voters for Zhang Fei up and disappeared, I had no idea what the vote count was on for anyone, so I went with the last person I knew who was also in hot water: Jiang Wei. Cao Cao was mod-confirmed by that point and I would rather lose a lousy poster named Jiang Wei than either kill Cao Cao or waste his power.

Please note in my voting pattern post, I totally missed the fact Lu Meng is double-voter. Jiang Wei was firmly in the lead in votes until the roleclaim which then screwed up us all.

I wish I could tell you about the talking, Diao Chan, but I will say it is role-related and I don't have a Mafia chatroom in which to talk. The one thing I will say about this is it is interesting you notice it as if you, like, had reason to know about it.

I will state Meng Huo had the chance on Day 1 to stop the lynch on Liu Bei, had more than an hour to do so. I, too, was the last vote and put the noose around Liu Bei's neck. I think were either of us scum, we could do better than screw up Day 1.

Just because your role was hard doesn't mean others' weren't. It would be really wasteful to spend this much time, effort, and this many people just to end the game because you got fucking lynched.
