Alright, I have typed up 155 posts over the past five or so hours and have them ready to copy/paste almost as fast as you guys can post in this thread. ;) With the help of some deliciously awesome members such as Jiro, Guardian XIII, The Fresh Prince of Mel Air, Demon Dude and others we now also have put together speeches for almost every award (they remain working hard as we speak on the final touches, that's just how dedicated they are), and of course the prediction team have all done their bit and that means I'm here and ready to go! :D I could use some food - I've not eaten more than a snickers bar or two in the past 24 or so hours, but that's irrelevant right now because dammit, the Ciddies are here and they're a little late - as always - but it's time to crash through them. :excited:

I'll have you know we took on a record number of tie-breakers in this, and while there are some runaway winners, a lot of them were really freaking tight. 14 tie-breakers were involved with the breaking of one tie, a new record! :) Let's hope for more records, more first-time winners (well, we know there is always one guaranteed, but here's to even more?) and a few well earned slaps on the back for those who work hard to keep this place as awesome as it is.

In the fictional world of the Smurfs, Raistlin Gargamel the sorcerer is the sworn enemy of the Smurfs and the principal antagonist in the show and comic books. While described as a wizard in the narration, Raistlin Gargamel is not depicted as possessing real magical powers to speak of. However, he is quite competent at creating fallacious arguments magic potions for various usages and thus could be considered a strawman an alchemist, rather than a wizard (like Harry Potter). His main goal in life is to destroy ShlupQuack the Smurfs or to capture enough of them to create a potion to turn base matter into gold.

When Raistlin Gargamel first appeared in Le Voleur de schtroumpf ("The Smurfnapper"), published in 1959, he captured a smurf which he needed as an ingredient for a potion to make gold in accordance with the famed alchemic legend of the Philosopher's Stone. The other smurfs rallied against him, freed the kidnapped smurf and the sorcerer was defeated and humiliated. Gargamel swore revenge: from now on the conflict would be personal.

Sometimes he wants to eat the Smurfs, other times he wants to use them to make gold, and still other times he has even more bizarre uses for them (You do not want to know what these uses are. TRUST ME). Though he often catches Smurfs who wander by his home or which he happens across in the forest, he does not know the location of the hidden Smurf village, a fact which continually frustrates him.

Papa Smurf is a creeper. First of all he's blue. He's a really little, blue guy, with a white beard and a creepy grin (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/26/Papasmurf1.jpg). I don't know how in hell he became the "hero", but apparently this 543 year old paedophile is a huge hit with the kids.

Like Gargamel, this psycho likes to play with magic potions and tit. According to wikipedia, who is akin to the all-seeing all-knowing eye, when he is not doing his leader or "father-knows-best" job, Papa Smurf indulges in his favorite hobby: magical chemistry. He often makes elixirs to help Smurfs who get themselves into trouble. The French comic portrays Papa Smurf constantly preparing magical drinks from some kind of flower (the drawings in which the effects of these alchemical brews are shown are both turbulent and amusing [obviously this is wiki speak for smurfed up and dangerous]). As well as his house, he also has a secret smurfing laboratory containing several chemical devices of doom, and he tries to create potions for the good of the Smurfs, yet sometimes fails - such as the time he accidentally created a substance that turned any living thing into a huge monster. Oh yeah that was definitely an accident you psycho. Papa Smurf is actually the true villain of the show. Gargamel is just trying to save the rest of the idiotic Smurfs from this sinister blue freak.

That kind of makes this other image I found obsolete, but I couldn't let that stop me from bringing you the truth.

If I was going to hack into a company, it wouldn't be Square Enix.

First of all, what a dick move. Japan is crippled and somebody thinks it's a good idea to just tit on them a little bit more. Don't they realise there's already smurfing delays to the next FF title? I don't want to be waiting a decade between instalments when they're disappointing anyway!

Secondly, if I were to hack Square Enix, I would just leave them a .txt file detailing what I expect them to do with the Final Fantasy series.

Thirdly, you'd pick someone with more money. Or pick Hideo Kojima because he's so insane he'd probably let you keep the money because it's all apart of the plan. Is it just me, or does everyone else think that Hideo Kojima came up with the (fabulous) Metal Gear Solid plot after spending time with this guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffDPTKn7HiY)? (Content Warning)

Lastly, I don't think many of our nominees actually have the l33t skillz to actually pull off such an operation. I've seen evidence of Face's programming ability in his Dokal scripting and a fancy program that let you make a rotating prism of however many sides you can imagine (not 1 though, which I found disappointing).

Flying Arrow seems like the devoted type though, so I can imagine him getting in there through trial and error. Wolf Kanno probably works for Square Enix by now, so he probably just got drunk and accidentally hacked them. Dammit WK, control yourself!

Our last two nominees are Hypoallergenic Cactuar and Peegee. You know what? They'd probably work together and the sheer insanity of the situation would be successful. But then they wouldn't know what to do except post cat pictures and pika spam.

I was about to write a fantastic speech for this award, with a carefully conducted run-down of every candidate. Then I realised Freya (Kaycee) was nominated. I also discovered that this was her only nomination. So, obviously, this speech is dedicated to her.

Kaycee stinks. She absolutely reeks, of onions, garlic, and everything else she rubs herself with nightly to make herself feel attractive. She's also disgustingly hairy. While we wait for this fiasco to fix itself up, I'd like to tell a story. Well, a few years back my friend and I were driving through a State Park in the state of Idaho (which doesn't exist by the way). It was about 2 am on Thanksgiving weekend. My friend was driving his new car. We had only been driving for two years and only had the car a few days. He wasn't used to handling it, so it was pretty scary. It was dark. The road was surrounded by trees. There were branches and leaves over the top of the road. It was like driving through a tunnel except that the road kept winding back and forth, back and forth. It would have been a perfect set for a Friday the Thirteenth movie.

Anyway, we're going around a corner, when my friend screams, slams on the brakes and I suddenly felt a thump. I had been looking out the side window and didn't know what had happened. But, I had a bad feeling that we had hit something. My friend freaked out and kept saying "I hit it! I hit it! Oh my God, I hit it! OMG This is freaking me out, dude!", etc. I tried calming him down but nothing would work. Finally, dreading what I might find, I opened the door and walked around behind the car.

On the ground was a rabbit name Bunny. It was laying on it's side. It was having convulsions. I didn't see much blood, but I figured it for a goner anyway. About this point my friend comes around the car and sees Bunny laying on the ground. He starts looking quite dreary. I didn't know what to say or do. I mean, what can you say when your friend just killed a rabbit?

For once in my life I was speechless. I tried my best to console him. It didn't really work. I didn't know what to do. I'm pretty sure Bunny was still suffering. I didn't think it would live, but I didn't have the heart to stop it's suffering, especially with my friend watching. I really honestly didn't know what to do. I just stood there with a dumb look on my face trying to think of something to say to calm my friend.

About this time an air of head lights came around the corner. The car was moving fast and I was afraid the driver hadn't seen us because of the trees and the winding roads. At the last second the driver slammed on the brakes and pulled to a stop behind our car. The driver of the sports car (a woman about thirty years old) got out and asked if we were OK. I tried to explain about Bunny, but couldn't find a way to say it without upsetting my friend even more.

The woman walked up and looked where I was standing. She saw Bunny at my feet. Once again, I tried to find the right words to explain how upset my friend was, but just ended up mumbling something that probably made no sense at all. She bent over and examined Bunny for a few seconds. I tried to explain that I needed to do something to help put Bunny out of it's misery, and that my friend would never forgive himself if we just drove off. Obviously, taking it with us and having it die in the car would also be a mistake. I kept fumbling for words.....

The lady stood up and said, "It's OK, I know what to do". Before I could ask her what she meant she started walking back towards her car. My friend and I looked at each other ... both of us wondering what the woman meant when she said she knew what to do. My friend probably thought the woman was a nurse or veterinarian. Me, I thought maybe she had a gun and planned on letting the rabbit stop suffering. I got apprehensive thinking about my friend's reaction. The lady from the sports car walked back and got her keys out of the ignition. She walked around to the back of her car. She stuck in the keys and opened the trunk. This is it I thought, she's getting the gun.

Instead the lady pulled out a big suitcase. She set it on the ground then closed the trunk. She opened the suitcase and pulled out a smaller suitcase. She set it on the trunk. She reached in the case and pulled out a box. I kept thinking that if she ever needed the gun she would never be able to get to it in time. Finally, the woman sets the box on the trunk and opens it. She reaches in and pulls something out. The gun, I was sure of it. As she walked up, I asked if she would rather I take care of the rabbit. She said no, that was OK, she knew what she was doing.

The next thing I remembered, I hear a hissing noise. I look over and the woman is kneeling over Bunny with a spray can in her hand. I'm totally dumbfounded. I start to ask her what she is doing when my friend walks up next to me. I don't really understood what was going on, so I ask the lady what she is doing again. The woman starts to explain when, all of the sudden, Bunny jumps up and hops about 10 feet. He stops, I think he's going to keel over, but instead he turns around raises a paw in the air and begins shaking it. Once again speechless, my jaw hanging at the ground I try to find the words to ask, "Lady, what did you do?"

Then Bunny hops another 10 feet. Stops, turns around to face us and shakes it's paw in the air. This continues on for several minutes. The three of us, me, my friend and this strange lady stand together watching as Bunny continues forward stopping every ten feet to turn around and shake his right paw at us. Finally, Bunny stops one final time on top of a hill with the full moon at his back shaking his paw in the air, I find the words. "Lady, what did you do?"

She says "I'm a beautician."

I say, "So?"

She says, "That was hair restorer with a permanent wave."

Yeah, I don't get it either, but whatever... let's get back to the revelations then, right? And don't think of this story as hoping Bunny wins this award. Not that it really matters anyway. :monster:

This is the Cutest Couple speech. Because I couldn't be bothered asking every couple for a photo of themselves, I searched using the handy term "cute couple" and got some random images to represent them for me. I think I did a pretty good job actually :shobon:

Now something you may not know is that Face is a kiwi. This means that, pulsing throughout his veins is the blood of a warrior. As such, he takes what he wants and as you can see in this photo, his spoils are a maiden known as Fujiko. What you don't know about Fujiko is that she's a Swede and Sweden obviously has a lot of fields. Now I don't know why Fujiko is letting the warrior kidnap her but they look pretty happy about it, and that's endearing. Plus Fujiko made kiwi cupcakes, how smurfing adorable is that.

I didn't have any ideas for this speech, so I just googled Techy. I eventually stumbled upon a video of a guy doing tricks on a finger skateboard, also known as Tech Decks.

So I decided that we'd look at this award from a skateboarding angle. You know, just to switch things up a bit.

First we have Rantzien, in traditional viking skateboarder
