So, in the white chocobo thread, it was asked if you could get the white chocobo with Cloud or only with Cid. Well, you can't get a white chocobo, but you can get the little baby to give up Contain Materia even while using Tifa. It's kind of annoying that nowhere in the game does it hint that Mimmett greens are also called Samolen greens and if you don't have them on you, there's no way to know that's what you need. Oh well though.
Anyway, yeah, Cloud can also get the materia no matter how far past that point you've gone. You could have placed the save crystal near the entrance to Sephiroth's grotto and still go back for the Contain Materia. Unfortunately, since it involves the door in the weapon shop, you cannot collect the cursed ring using Cloud, since the weapon shop sinks after the battle with Ultima.
Oh and btw...
KadajjXIII, all the posts in this thread were made 8 years ago. Chances are they all stopped caring about chocobo racing, got married, had kids, had a mid-life crisis, bought a BMW and died in the meantime. :/ I very much doubt all of this... except for the possibility of dying... happens all of the time.
