I'm going to force myself to use Baloki's Technicolor Nightmare until Aeris Reborn gets the reply box fixed.

This will be fun.

BTN gave me seizures after a few minutes so now I'm forcing myself to use Fluffy Puff. Have I mentioned that I hate pink? :tonberry:

I used to use EoFF 2.0 until sometime last week it randomly changed to vB4 Default

Baloki's Technicolour Nightmare is small time. Ed's Technicolor Nightmare or bust.

On EoFF I use Old Skool though.

I typically use aeris reborn but the reply box is faded so to my dismay I stick with neoclassic. :crying2:

I assume you've been using NeoClassic or one of its child styles. Try switching to the equivalent "revision" style (I just made them public). They're a work in progress and some of our old customizations (such as in-post reputation display) are not yet implemented in them, but they're rebuilt in a better way that should allow us to upgrade with much less problems. And they're also functional.

Feel free to make lists of what looks wrong or needs to be added to them. Most of it is probably already on our (imaginary) to-do list, but you might catch something we've forgotten about.

I can picture myself still visiting these boards when I'm 50 years of age and still never switching from EoFF classic.

If anyone who used to use EoFF Classic (not to be confused with NeoClassic) could check out "EoFF Classic v4.1.5.omgwhatisthis" and let me know what they think via PM or in this thread or... wherever, that would be great.

Done, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to be checking out, other than that the reply box is in Verdana again, which I think I like.

edit: oh, the online/offline icon appears right next to the user name instead of aligned right, at least in Chrome. I don't like that. Also the user titles aren't bold in ohgodwhatisthis, which I'm not exactly used to, but I guess I could learn to live with it if it's intentional.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between EoFF Classic and NeoClassic?

Rantz

EoFF Classic is the one that desperately clings to the limitations of web design in the 90's.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between EoFF Classic and NeoClassic?
I thought the differences were kind of obvious (even if they are limited in number), but now I'm wondering if the changes I made for EoFF Classic were not fully implemented for all browsers... Either way, to clarify a bit more than Rantz did, these are the changes that you should notice...

EoFF Classic: Things such as "Add Reply", the breadcrumbs (eg. Forum > General > General Chat etc just above threads/forums/etc) and such have coloured backgrounds. The alignment of various things has been adjusted so that these coloured backgrounds/blocks fit together better. Blackspace between threads/posts/navigation areas has been decreased so the blocks are closer together. I and a handful of others at EoFF prefer the 'block' look, which EoFF Classic has retained since vB2 for us who don't like the newer vB4 look. Rantz and Murd can't stand them while I can't stand the vB4 look (well, I can in some styles, just not with Classic colours as the black background doesn't work so well for me), hence the two different styles.

NeoClassic opts for the more modern vBulletin 4 look where blocks are discarded and things are spaced out. I believe the buttons for things such as "Add Reply" and "New Topic" may be different, too, although I can't check right now as I'm at work. =x

I use Aeris Reborn.

I would have used BTN, but I thought it would be even more colourful. It's still friggin' awesome though.

Okay, well it took having two tabs open (one with each theme) and flipping between them a couple of times to spot the differences, but I finally did. Thanks for the clarification :3
