Hey guys, just wanted to show off a game that me and two other guys have been making for the past 6 months or so. We've had some people help here and there, but for the most part it's just been us (me as artist and them as coders).

Monkey Mini Golf for Windows Phone 7 (http://youtu.be/ozxjMzFEqNo?hd=1)

Well it feels like a long run and a lot of crunch to get it where it is today (we pretty much had to write our own tools and engine since Microsoft suck so much). Hopefully we can get Xbox Live status!

It's a very casual-type game, and it's on a smartphone, so not sure how many are actually interested. But I thought I'd make this to show off some cool indie stuff.

Awesome, any plans for Android?

I think we would like to port it to Android and iOS. The coder said for Android it'd take him at least a month to do, so chances of it happening aren't too good and I'm not even sure about iOS since it is xcode. Though I'll keep convincing him!

We chose Windows Phone 7 because we wanted to see how we'd actually go making a game as a team and the tools we already knew - like XNA, but we ended up just writing our own engine and using Maya as the level editor with some exporting scripts, and because it was relatively new with a less saturated market place. So it's a good chance for us to stand out from the crowd, especially if Microsoft accept us for Xbox Live status (which means you could be earning achievement points for your Xbox account!).

That looks extremely impressive. Well done!

Thanks! :)

Edit: Game has been released to Microsoft Marketplace. Now we just need to apply for Xbox Live. We're also getting interest for interviews around the web which is exciting. :)

Ouch!

Get it to XBL or Android and you know I'll get it. :D
