Post your toon / server / region here. Now that you can play for free in any region (till level 20) I might be able to play in US servers with peeps from US. Was it Drakka Horde that had everyone ?

I signed back up for Cata, but ended up going un-active again after a few months. Mainly due to personal time issues and the fact that I discovered none of my friends were playing anymore.

I liked some of the changes, didn't like some others. Over all I think the expansion has shown just how far WoW has come. I remember when BC first came out it was awesome to play the new content, it was just so much better than classic. Now going from the new 1-60 Cata content to BC it makes the 'amazing new BC content' just look like crap. Shows just how much an improvement WoW has undergone each expansion. You can say it has had the market dominance for 7 year, but I think one of the reasons for it's success is that it keeps improving and getting better. It is kind of a mistake to even call it the same name as the game that came out 7 years ago.

I haven't played since the beginning of the year, aka about two seconds after getting my main to level 85 and realizing that I didn't feel like learning a bunch of new dungeons/raids for the second or third time or whatever we're at now. So I logged her out in quest greens and left her rather unceremoniously in the middle of Deepholm.

ANYWAYS, I played Alliance on Silver Hand and Horde on The Venture Co., and those are the only two servers I ever played on. I think MILF is the only other person here who plays/played on either of those two servers, but who knows! In all honesty if I ever come back to WoW it will probably just be to reroll something and derp around in low level Arathi Basin for a couple of days. My other characters had a good run, and I've had enough of endgame to last me a niiiiice long while. :monster:

I just cancelled my account last month. I played on Emerald Dream, 85 Priest Alliance. I read something like they lost about a mil in subscribers past 8 months.

Cata is about to finish right? The last dungeon is being released (and not locked), so I expect the top guilds (whoever they are now...man I miss Ret) to finish it in a day or less.

I played Cata a bit but didn't like it. I mean I liked the changes to the world, but by then I had become jaded with MOO RPGS.

I was on cataclysm beta and it was pretty fun, but by the end of beta they started to take a lot of decisions i disliked, like removing portals and making hc dailies last almost an hour, making 25 man raids be the same as 10 and completely killing small guilds (on cata you could level small guilds by doing guild achievements, they turned it off for live.. only way to level guilds now is to have 200 scrubs doing quests -.-). Made the game a chore and very impersonal, plus made raiding guilds have only 10 spots for raiders, instead of 25. To me it killed my interest, game just wasn't fun anymore, after the first week of "wow i can fly in org".

Seems a lot agreed with me and they lost almost a million subscriptions. Now they are trying anything to get casuals back, but i don't know if people will stay

Pfft.. pet is going on AH for 5k gold, where you can buy10k gold for what it costs. Blizzard is not a good gold seller :p

I resubbed for one month and then got bored again and let my account expire again.

I've really only been subbed to WoW for about four months total of the entire Cataclysm thing...

Transmog sounds cool, though. I'd transmog into my level 70 Karazhan gear.

I've downloaded and played all of a day, and got bored. I have no idea how such a kiddie mmo has attracted so many players, but I've hear vanilla wow was actually good.

Opinions! I liked leveling about ten times more than I liked raiding. And I did a lot of raiding.

Don't think I've had fun in mmo raiding since Everquest. 72 man raids ftw. Anymore it's all 16,18,24 man raids...feels too small to be called a raid. I enjoyed the leveling aspect in mmos at one time too, but again not when it has become so easy your merely leveling your billionth to cap purely out of boredoms sake.

WoW was really at its peak in Burning Crusade, in my opinion.

I don't think I'm going back to the game. I've played maybe two months out of the past year and it just doesn't hook me anymore. Oh well, there's so many other games out there to play! :)
