so im from the carolinas and i have a thick southern accent. well out here in phoenix everyone and there grand mother seems to find it necessary to make a comment on how i talk rather it be an "awh i love the way you talk " or an " i cant understand you what are you saying" im getting tired of people talking about the way i talk

I used to harass some South Carolina kid about the way he talked.
At first, it was kinda fun. Eventually, we became bitter rivals and when the time came for us to depart from each other's company, it was on rather nasty terms.

All in all, I suppose I wish I never did it, but then I would never have had the experience.
Life is full of situations where you never know if you've received a blessing or a curse.

I like listening to southern accents though. They're kinda sexy.

You should use it to find a lady ;)

Do you sound like a central or coastal south Carolinian? My mama jeanne (grandma) has a real thick accent. Mine is from wnc but it's not real thick unless i'm angry or drunk.

There are certain words I am not allowed to say around Hux or he makes fun of me

These include:

Hover
Graham
Spokane (which I actually say correctly, he just doesn't like it)

And I am sure others are yet to be found.

Well now you have to post how you say them.

Also, I've been told Spokane is pronounced "Spo-can". :|

Yes, that is how it's pronounced. Hux would rather it be Spo-kayne!

What about a Californian accent, Justy? :(Meh it sounds just like a Midwestern accent. I like the way you talk though. You have a slight Hispanic flavor in the way you talk.

Yeah, the only difference between midwesterners and westerners is that people from the Midwest for some reason say "warsh" instead of "wash."

warsh! That's one I didn't pick up but that I hear all the time.

Here is a short list of words and phrases I say that make people laugh or cringe.
Reckon (as in I reckon so)
Everhow (Everhow many you want, you take 'em.)
Devilment (What devilment is NCG up to today.)
between the devil and the deep blue sea (If he ain't careful he's liable to find himself between the devil and the deep blue sea.)
ground squirrel (a ground squirrel is a chipmunk. I don't know why it's called a ground squirrel. I guess because it ain't a tree squirrel.)
holler (a hollow in a mountain or yelling at someone)
big (the biggest problem. this is more commonplace i think.)
pert near (about just)
least (youngest or smallest)
leastways (at any rate)
directly (which actually means in a little while, or by and by as in "I'll be there directly." Actually means you're taking your time.)
fine as hair on a frog (fine or good)
whatchacally
Decoration (annual event when you go decorate your family graves. I thought this was pretty common place until I asked for a day off for one upcoming.)

and then just colloquialisms:
dumb as a box of hair (my absolute favorite description of myself ever)
dumb as a bag of hammers
don't piss down my leg and call it rain (a great alternative i just heard recently is don't shit on my feet and call it apple butter)
_________ on off (go on off, fuck on off, piss on off etc.)
cold as a well digger's belt buckle
hot as the hinges of hell

I know there are a lot more. When I think of them I will share.

Darkswordofchaos

I have a New Jersey accent. AKA I sound obnoxious and can't pronounce the letter T when it's in the middle of a word and hate enunciating anything.
