You assume that I believed Rajin's Vigilante story, which is not necessarily true. However, I do believe the Cop, who has been confirmed and who has investigated Seifer and found him guilty. Now, I will not deny that there is the possibility that there could be a Mafia Framer in our midst, but that doesn't mean the Cop isn't a Cop. If the day ends and we have lynched an innocent than I would cry Mafia Framer before I'd accuse the Cop of being Mafia. Defending Seifer because of your FF8 connection doesn't make any sense to me.

Ugh. Alright, so let me try and set this straight.

Fujin and I are lovers. I'm not actually a vigilante -- I'm a Doctor. Fujin is the killer. I was under the impression all we had to do was survive until the mafia was dead, but it doesn't seem that is the case. So our coordinated attempts to help the town so far seem to have achieved very little.

We decided to go crazy yesterday for a few reasons. First, we were told we had been nightkilled and so I was going to partner up and become Seymour. This then didn't happen at the last minute, which really ticked me off (not least of which was the flavour that we all missed out on that KD went to great effort to write). I was told at this same time that the cop had investigated the last mafia member (and then a short time later, that I wouldn't win if the last mafia member was killed).

Then I realised that immediately after Seifer died, I would look guilty. Claiming to be a vigilante and then the game not being over makes me look like a serial killer. I gave up hope and just wanted to keep Seifer alive for one more night. Why? Two reasons.

The first is that Seifer might just night kill me and the agony would be over. The second possibility was that Seifer could help kill the cult.

The fact that the game is still going and Fujin and I haven't won yet can only lead me to believe that there is a Cult that needs to be eradicated. Perhaps a non recruiting Cult, but a Cult nonetheless.

And to clarify why I claimed to be the vigilante -- it's a fuckload easier to do as me. Fujin and I both decided to roleplay our characters and ya'll can see how annoying talking like Fujin can be :greenie:

13? No scum but no game over. If there is a cult there is a leader and 3 recruits, so 4. We could be down to 9 and probably are since no unexpected corpses turned up in yellow. You can say BUT SEYMOUR HOJO AND KUJA ARE DEFINITELY INNOCENT but you'd be ignoring that those guys are the most sought after recruits because they are pro town. Everyone can be suspect save for the dead. The only guy I'm trusting right now is the resurrected Seymour because his conversion probably had to wait until tonight.

What else can hold up a game? Serial Killer. I gotta say eliminating possibilities is a way to go even if it sounds dirty, Rajin. The wiki doesn't say a SK has to kill every night, just be the last man standing. I'm leaning this way strongly unless you have a better idea than lynching inactives, ya know?

I read your post. I just don't care that much. I have a feeling that if a cult is involved, the more prominent and influential players of this game were probably recruits so that would probably be Queen Brahne and Hojo.

Or I could tell the town exactly who is in the Cult and then we can lynch them all. You mistakenly believe that being recruited naturally makes a player's goal change. My goal was to win alongside Rajin, and if I can't do that, the next best thing is to see a town victory.

I could have taken a pot shot and hoped to hit a Cultist but if I had missed and hit a townie, I can guarantee that all of you would have just strung Rajin up and we would've been dead.

Here are a few scenarios:
CULT 1
We kill Fujin and Raijin dies with his Serial Killer girlfriend. We were wrong, they were town, and we are down more townies. By the next day there's 5 Cult, 6 Town, pretty dangerous endgame. We then have to play a hard game as town and kill cult every time, especially the leader, before it's lights out. Best case scenario: 13=4C+9T -> 11=5C+6T -> 10=5C+5T -> SCREWED

CULT 2
We let Fujin and Raijin live because we trust them and do not want to lower our numbers anymore than they are already. Fujin may be recruited and shoot us all in our sleep. Fujin may shoot a cultist or cult leader while our lynchings go perfectly. Fujin may shoot a townie and put us in jeopardy. No math since it variates depending if Fujin kills or not and if she is recruited or not and if we get lucky or not. This is the biggest gamble I see.

SERIAL KILLER 1

Your colors determine your guilt but that's for you to know. As I see it that means you have a killing ability but I don't know how green or red or yellow or darkbrowngreywhatever that makes you. Nothing can change your alignment save for a dirty cultist so if you are what is traditionally red/yellow, you can only win with Raijin when we are all dead.

I think we would have had some evidence of a Cult by now if there was one, but it could be the Cult has just recruited all the right people. I think it's too risky to kill Fujin and Raijin at this point, purely because of Raijin's Doctor claim. No one else has come forward to claim Doctor and so at this point we can assume he is telling the truth. If we kill Raijin we could leave ourselves open to some other form of night-kill, though considering no one was killed last night, presumably Fujin is the only one left with that ability.

We also need to hear more from Kefka, especially at this point in the game, about how he has been helping us.

Rajin and I were encouraged to share and plan together. This isn't a(n estranged) siblings role, most lovers talk to each other. As we said earlier, we decided to role play our accounts for a bit of fun, and so we decided it was better and easier for Rajin to roleclaim Vigilante because he could actually talk normal.

You say it was suicidal? Rajin tempted the mafia to target him while protecting himself every night (except the first, in which the sweetheart protected me). It should have, in the best case scenario, caused the mafia to waste their night kills.

Well I gave it some thought and decided to be a little more forthcoming, since the mafia is dead and all I don't know if my role is useful anymore. That and my previous post hinting at a role kind of ruins the laying low thing anyway, and people tend to overanalyze things in town discussion.

I'm a White Mage. Notice how a couple of nights there weren't any town kills? Well. Maybe that could have been Raijin, but I like to think that it was just me being awesome and protecting two people at the same time. (For those of you not familiar with the White Mage role, I choose one person to protect each night, and that protection lasts for two nights.) I like to stay quiet and out of the way. It's a powerful role and it would suck if I died. So I also protected myself from time to time.

What I think of our situation:

Lovers are an independent faction. As in, not a town faction. They could be the reason the game is still running. Either way, I don't like them.

Cult is unlikely. As someone mentioned earlier, if the cult leader recruited every night, the cult would have had plenty of opportunities to end the day by now.

Yours truly, the great and inspiring Jecht, is also one, and I believe in my sword loving friend, since I've done my best to defend him while he was being accused of being something else. Sure, it doesn't benefit me, but it did benefit the town for not losing one of them. Take this what you will, I'm Vanilla Townie.

btw, I'm keeping my vote on Kefka, his story seems a little fishy to me, so depending on how this day ends, I think it will be a lot more clearer who we should all vote for tomorrow.

I have to agree with Kefka's post mostly because when I read the role of Lovers I read that they could either win with each other or with the faction their role belonged. It didn't give any indication that the Lovers could win together if another faction won. Seymour investigated Rujin and found him innocent, and Fujin as admitted to being a Killer. Since everyone is clamoring for role claims I will give you mine, I am the Bulletproof Townie. This is why I said that just because a night kill didn't happen doesn't mean one wasn't attempted. Kefka could be lying about his role but what he says about the Lovers lines up with what I have read about the them, and I just haven't seen any evidence of a Cult.

I will weep until this whole issue goes away. Do I want Kefka killed to reveal the existence of a cult or do I want to keep the cult from recruiting Fujin/Raijin if they haven't already? If we don't win with the Fujin lynch, then remember my scenario about how we have to deal with the cultists and know we are going to need every pro-town aligned person active.

You guys, this is like, the most obvious endgame choice ever in the entire history of EoFF mafia. And I have played literally every game of EoFF mafia, so I'm not exaggerating when I say this! I'll lay it out nice and simple.

FACTS
Mafia is gone.
The game is still going anyway.
Raijin, the half that claims to be doctor is innocent.
Lovers vary with their alliance (according to the mafia wiki).
In a previous game, there was a doctor/killer lover pair who's win condition was to be the only players left in the game. That means, should they have outlived the mafia, the game would still go on with just them and the town.
IF there was a cult, the same would happen.
We know there is a doctor/killer lover pair.
We don't know there is cult.

This I don't understand. At all. Please clarify. I never ever targeted Raijin once in the game, and I don't understand what you mean by a magical third killing faction. I targeted only myself, Seymour, and Mystery Target.

Look I've been for killing Fujin and Raijin as linked Lovers because they're a risk if turned into cult or if Fujin is a Killer who needs the town dead, but for someone who has come clean with such a big power role you're still pretty tight lipped, Kefka.

I guess we are doing White Mage research if anyone's up for it. I'm not I got a computer to ship suddenly and I'm hungry.

If we don't win with this lynch, can we agree that Kefka should be next? He is one of the few people I can suspect as cult leader if it comes to that.

If not, we kill them in a few days time and hopefully we win, but it's pointless killing off a doctor and a killing role if we might need them to rid us of a third faction.

I'd read who Mystery Target was if you said an actual name. Why bother hiding who it was when Fujin is this close to death, MT cannot be killed, and the other option is to kill you? I am all about killing you and taking another three days to solve this case so I do like your offer. This Mystery carp is extra icing on the cake.
