Hello, I am going to be picking up a copy of Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection and was wondering a few things. For one I was wondering if the FFIV version is more like the PS1, SNES, Advanced, or more new compared to everything else.

I am also going to be needing a few tips and tricks if I get in a tough spot so this topic will be used for that as well. I am planing to play all three titles in the PSP disk but am nervous as how I will do.

Is there anything I can miss on my road to point A to point B that I won't be able to go back and get? <- meaning FFIV not after years or interlude.

The FF IV version is the same as the GBA release.

Anything found in the Tower of Zot will be lost forever after you finish the dungeon, same with the giant of Babil.

I suggest consulting a guide at GameFAQs for Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection (http://www.gamefaqs.com/psp/615911-final-fantasy-iv-the-complete-collection/faqs). There are a few sidequests and missable items throughout each title in that package.

Well I have checked a few and some things people might want to know is you can achieve the Goblin and Cockatrice summons right after you leave the castle. They aren't miss able but if you are up for the challenge it is nice to know. I have read that the bombs on Mt. Hobbs will NOT drop the bomb summon item so I didn't try there. It took countless fights (5hours) to get 4 goblins and 1 cockatrice. I have reached Baron for the second time (by the devils road. I got a few questions for the Final Fantasy IV PSP Edition experts.

What is the monsters you can get the summons off of first? I know some people will say it's easier to get them later but I enjoy the hunt and will be doing the sirens for pink tails quest. So as you know I got the goblin and cockatrice I want the bomb and mindflair.

Another thing is will Rydia have the summons when She returns as a more adult version of herself?

Can the new version carry every item? I have played PS1 remake and I couldn't hold one of every item. :(

Thanks in advance if anyone has an answer to these questions.

Ok I have got some information on the web about these hard to get drops. I got bomb and cockatrice and have spent hours in the B4 of the metallic cave. A tip that I got for players going to attempt this insane quest is to go to B3 to the bridge in the over pace area. I run into one or two Mindflayers in a row there and it will save sirens for later usage. I am now in my 50's and still haven't got the drop. So wish me luck.

Have you found the Mindflayer summon yet? If you still have no luck finding the Mindflayer summon, I recommend the use of a code or something to allow you to move on with the game without having to worry about missing an item with a horrendous drop rate.

I'm level 68 and on the moon with the only summon missing is bomb. I am going to attempt to do this at end game or at least until I hit level 99. It amazes me how Final Fantasy games can keep me playing so far after I reach max level. What I am going to do is do the max stat trick once I hit level 70. You got 9 various level ups which you can gain at level 71-99 and I plan to get the best stats. This shouldn't take too long.

Keep in mind that experienced is shared with all of the characters who are not in the party in your version of the game. You will only be able to truly control the level ups of five characters total as far as I know.

I know, that is what really threw me off this game. I have done everything I can to do a perfect play through but the max stats will only be on Yang, Rydia, Cecil, Kain, and Rosa. Oh and Edge since he comes into the game on like level 25. So hopefully by the time I level the choosen 5 to 99 he is pretty well ready for 70+.

I will ask but am going to try this anyways. Is it possible to kill my other members to the point they don't gain EXP? Like kill edward, cid, Edge and the twins then take the rest of the members? If so this would be a great help.

Nope. Experience is divided between the 5 active party members. So if your party is composed of Edge, Cid, Edward and the twins, if you kill one or more of them the rest will receive more exp. However if you kill characters that are not part of your current team of 5 then the experience gain does not change.

But would it still be added to the supposed "dead" members not in my current party? That is the big question.

Current party
Cecil (Alive)
Rosa (Alive)
Kain (Alive)
Rydia (Alive)
Yang (Alive)

Rest of the members Ko'ed and out of the party in Mystdia. I will be trying this tonight. Just to see if it can be done. If so this would be a great help in getting ALL members max stats cause if the KO'ed ones don't gain then you can level them up afterwards.

EDIT: Nevermind... you can't take out a party member if they are dead. So they will be given the EXP shared with no exceptions. Maybe curse, virus? So far I have not found a way to give everyone max stats besides to train them all very slowly. Meaning keep an EXP value written and bring in members on their level up. This could actually be done easier then some may think. Take 4 members (you have to keep Cecil) and make sure they are the closest to their next level up (70+). When the 4th one levels up it is time to switch them out for the next ones to level up. Still, there is 9 members in all. Cecil, Kain, Rosa, Rydia, Cid, Yang, Egde, and the two twins. So you can be making three trips to the moon every time your group levels up. This could be easy to a hardcore grinder, or it could be a waste to people who don't have the time.

By the time your first party levels up once, you go get the next 4 that will level up. When they do that time, take your next four (the 9th member will probably be closest at this point) and rinse repeat.

Keep in mind that if you are going to do this... I probably won't, you will even have to reset IF you didn't get the 1/9 possible level up that is needed to get max stats. So save near each persons level up and keep trying to get +1 in all stats or the +2's and +3's in major stats. It is random.
