1. That is one bitchin' chocobo.
2. Noel is from the future? I have a bad feeling about this guy.
3. Lots of time travel. I would like Future Esthar's input on this game after its release.
4. I miss the sun.
EDIT:

This is the first news in a while that has made me more excited about the game rather than less. I think the time travel element is pretty cool, and it sure makes for a better plot device in a mission-based game than the 'let's put on concerts and have wacky adventures!' approach of FFX-2. I seem to recall another Square game that featured time travel gates and a compass-like interface... one of the best games of all time...
Only good can come of this.
My only gripe is that it's seeming more and more to be the Serah & Noel show in this game when the initial teaser featured Lightning. Hopefully Noel will be a cool dude because I don't know if Serah's personality can carry a game. At least it's not starring Vanille.

Yeah I was reading the Kotaku article this morning. SE's playing a dangerous game by tagging Crono Trigger into this. If you read the interview Motomu Toriyama he actually references it quite a few times, and knowing how the old JRPG fans perk their ears every time the word "crono" is mentioned, leads to dangerously high expectations that I fear XIII-2 might not achieve.
On a different note: RIDE-ABLE CHOCOBOS! :kakapo: YAY!!!! I know I know....they were XIII too, but they had like a 3 minute cut-scene with Sazh and Vanille and then it wasn't until later on in the game where they became ride-able. Hopefully we're given access to them alot earlier :D

I actually like what I read here. The screenshots look good, too. Though time-travel in 99% of the cases means gaping plot chasms, I'm willing to go with it. XIII-2 is shaping up better.
Now let's wait for the hate and sceptisism. :)

Slightly update :
- Here is the new battle results screen: You can see the Battle result has Gil instead of CP.

-All monster types which you can recruit (150+ in all) have their own special attacks.
- Looks like you can use a Chocobo as Attacker/Com and Cat sith as Healer in battles.
-Chocobo does the Chocobo Kick, and Cat Sith does the Neko Punch.
- Blood Damage is a system they came up with to counter the over-effectiveness of having a Healer.

I'm excited about the time travel and New Game Plus elements, but I'm still really turned off by the 3rd party member being captured pokemon, the battle system still being FF13's - just with quicktime events, and it taking place in the FF13 world - which I didn't want to return to, I'd rather see a whole new adventure in a whole new setting in a whole new FF. Actually, what I really would rather see is a new Chrono Trigger.

The game still have a new land for a new adventure.

I don't understand why you would be upset that the world is the same as XIII. It's a sequel to XIII so having a different world would be really weird.
I'm exited to see what Gran Pulse is like, because we only got to see a small part of it during XIII and those were some of the best areas in the game. :p

Oh man, not only does the chocobo look almost stupidly awesome, but it's useful in battle too? Yeesssss. And Cait Sith!

Yes, I agree, the treatment of chocobos in this game looks pretty badass. Honestly, a game I was initially 'meh' about I have grown considerably more excited for in the last few days.

The more I hear about this game, the better it looks to be.

- Apparently in FFXIII-2 you can switch the party leader. It'll be interesting to see how that actually works out.(Nothing confirmed yet)

I find it hilarious that FE necro'd this thread just to say that. Ha.
I don't like theories either.

My theories now are about important real world events.
But on topic now.
Maybe it will be confirmed my theory that
Hope is a descendant of Vanille along with his brother Snow.
Lightning Serah and Nabaat are daughters of the real Primarch Disley and descendants of Fang.
Nabaat was Sazhs wife and Dahjs mother.
