View Full Version : Have you ever been playing music with the TV on, and found that they matched?

I have my computer and TV in the same room, and I tend to have the TV on as background throughout what ever I do - I don't bother to switch it off when I play music usually, although I sometimes turn the sound down. Because of this, there are many times when I see something on TV where things match almost perfectly in several ways;

Sometimes it's something simple like it looks like people on TV are dancing to the song or something like that, but sometimes it's more like what they're doing just seems a bit too perfect for whatever reason. I'll probably remember much more later, but at the top of my head;

Final Destination 5 Soundtrack 2: "Fates Bridge" - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5nMv7cF-wk)
I remember I was playing this, and on the TV there was trailer for something else (can't remember what) and the trailer showed a girl waking up suddenly (as though she had a nightmare) at the end of 02:24 to 03:01 so to me it just looked like it matched that way.

Alpha and Omega Moonlight Howl - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFbq55kw5MY)
Was listening to this (it's from one of my all time favorite movies, what can I say?) and at around 00:16 to the end Big Time Rush appeared on Nickelodeon (I can't remember if I was watching an actual BTR episode, or if it was just a BTR music video) and the way they were dancing, and singing, made it look like they were singing this - it looked so cool :)

I'll try to think of more later, feel free to add yours.

I can recall one such incident involving a certain psychedelic pizza topping. Listened to drum and bass and watched a tom and jerry marathon. For like, 6 hours. Ah, youth.

Classic cartoons and instrumental music are like pb+j though, they're practically made to work together. Also, mute anything and play Explosions in the Sky. Instantly epic. Washing dishes, epic. Laundry, epic. Doing homework, epic. It does not frigging matter.

I haven't done that with tv but I did it with a video game. I was playing mass effect (of course) and was on the last level and as a sniper, I was taking people out and they were popping up in time to this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDleI-vm7z4). It was so awesome haha
