I'm leaving to get laid in Chile for a while soon. We were going to meet in San Francisco, but she's all of a sudden decided to go with her family to visit some relatives in Santiago, so we're going to meet there instead. I've read these (http://www.sanmarcoschurch.cl/fr_culture.html) pages (http://www.sanmarcoschurch.cl/fr_santiago.html) and have a little bit of an idea what it's going to be like there, and I've been to quite a few countries so I'll probably adapt pretty quickly, but I'd still like to be as prepared as possible. Is there anything you guys can tell me about what it's like there, if you've ever been or have known anyone that lived there? Should I take the time and money to go there in the first place?

I have a good friend from Chile, and we've been planning a lot of things for a very long time now, but alas, none of our plans have come to fruition yet. That being said, I know it is not the safest place in the world to travel, and especially not if you're American or European. Sadly, my friend has told me a lot of stories about American citizens being kidnapped and held for ransom.

That being said, I would definitely visit Chile anyway. No point in worrying about being kidnapped or molested. If it happens, it happens, in the meantime, at least enjoy Chile's beautiful scenery.
