See how a bunch of ads are popping up everywhere? What do you think about this?

Adblock Plus — for annoyance-free web surfing (http://adblockplus.org/en/)

I wonder if this post counts as advertising

I've been using Firefox + AdBlock for so long that I honestly forgot that ads exist on the internet :shobon:

I have no idea what you're talking about.

At this point, if you see any ads on the internet, you only have yourself to blame.

I only notice them when I use my mom's laptop, and I find them very annoying.

You shouldn't see any ads when you're logged in, as far as I know.

What kind of ads? This is serious. And probably meant for feedback. Oh well.

Just ads attached to random words, it just started showing up this week.

It was showed up on the front site ages ago (like last year or something)

If I'm not mistaken, this is some sort of spyware or other affliction on your end. There's something using your browser to attach advertisements to words.

... darn. The only sites I've been to lately are EoFF, steam, and Aol, oh and memebase, so I dont know what could have happened.

It could be anything you've downloaded as well. But if you've been looking up stupid internet memes, that's probably the first location of concern.

Luckily, you may not die in the hospital. (http://wafflesatnoon.com/2011/10/05/seeing-unwanted-text-enhance-ads/)

We might have had them enabled already, I cannot recall. But again, you shouldn't be able to see any ads if you're logged in.

From what I understand, Text-Enhance is downloaded onto your actual computer. This is pretty much just Hypo being irresponsible (http://forums.eyesonff.com/general-chat/139934-irresponsible.html) on the internet.
