I lost out on writing the sexiest male speech. But it's probably better this way because Laddy's “I would smurf that guy and that guy … and that guy” jokes will be a lot funnier than mine.

Mine would just be sad. “Awww, that girl thinks she could get with... somebody.”

Undertaking the Best Male speech is really taking me to task, though, to really capture what makes each of the fabulous gentlemen the best of the best. I keep trying to imagine myself in a bar with the whole group, just as a mild mannered observer, to capture the men in a relaxed atmosphere.

This fantasy invariably ends with me schnackered, dancing on the bar and getting bailed out of lock-up by Del Murder. Art imitates life indeed. But each man, in some way, is a representative of the best in each of us. At any rate, the only thing that could make these men better are beards, so I've provided them with one if they were lacking. blackmage_nuke is likely the most underrated EoFFer of all time so it's great to see him getting the recognition he deserves with this nomination. With posts that are short, sweet but keenly observant and almost always hilarious, blackmage_nuke may not be the poster our forum wants … well I mean we do want him, but he's also the poster we need!

What I mean to say is he's charming, funny, witty, caring, and he's damn good with a Glock 17. Or so I've heard. The mastermind behind some of the most uncannily creative moves for the forums, we don't even know how lost we'd be without his subtle guidance.

Racistzien can throw out a pun in seconds that would take me all day to think up (and sometimes all day to get.) He's chivalrous, he's sweet, he knows a lot about computers and stuff, but he also knows a lot about being a good friend. Anyone who's talked to the guy for more than a minute can tell you he's the best of the best. I dare you not to like him.

In a sense, EoFF serves as an escape. An escape from the routine of our jobs, school, and general business. These seven members are those who have made EoFF the friendly, welcoming, and jovial community it is today and has been for over a decade.

But enough about me attempting to be serious, here are the nominees...

Del Murder
Del Murder is a pretty incredible guy and one of the members synonymous with EoFF. His sense of humor is quick, sharp, and typically thought-provoking. He is also a big sweetheart who contributes significantly to the Eyes on Final Fantasy forums. We owe him a huge thanks for making EoFF what is today, both as an excellent administrator and friend.

fire_of_avalon
foa is a fantastic presence on EoFF. First off, she's hilarious. She contributes significantly to the forums by adding an intelligent and friendly spin to her posts. She serves as a big sister role to the forums, once serving as a Staff member. Needless to say, without foa EoFF would be a much, much, more unfriendly place. Also, she's a badass.

Jiro
Jiro is a nice guy who has a very jovial and likable presence, serving as a friend to many EoFFers. He is reliable and trustworthy, exhibiting an easygoing feeling through both the General and Final Fantasy forums. Jiro will just make you feel better when you need a buddy to cheer you up and just make you laugh and smile when you want it.

NorthernChaosGod
NCG is a riot and a half. He is such a hilarious fellow and never seizes to both amaze and entertain EoFF with his antics and tomfoolery. He's also a very nice guy as well, someone you want to hug and hang out with as well. It doesn't matter if he's sipping beer or repping your posts, NCG will keep you entertained and feeling extremely good about yourself.

Pike
Pike got me into MLP and Pike plays really awesome games. Pike is a total nerd but one of the sweetest and most intelligent people on the forums. She makes cool threads and gives a sense of color to the already eclectic forums at times. Pike just makes you feel good and you can't imagine EoFF without her.

Rantz Rantz Revolution
Rantz is another administrator, serving as a force of humor to EoFF. Rantz is a big poster, making fun posts and being very happy-go-lucky. I had a dream where EoFF didn't have him. I died and it wasn't very pleasant. :( Anyway, Rantz is a real positive force and he definitely makes EoFF a more enjoyable place for everyone.

ShlupQuack
I want my money back, Shlup. Anyway, Shlup is another iconic EoFFer, known for her excellent and witty psots, as well as a real sweet nature behind that facade. (Yes, it is merely a facade, she's really sweet wehn you get to know her...) Anyway, Shlup contributes significantly to EoFF with excellent threads and posts both serious and light-hearted alike.

There also needs to be a Best chionos award, b/c my 12th year with EoFF should definitely not pass without a ciddie. 11 years is sad enough. There's no Britt anymore, no Unne, there's no reason for me not to have one. Also I don't know if I mentioned it before (rum and wine together apparently do not encourage memory retention), but Qu was extra special awesome this ciddies. I would also like to congratulate Murd on running a very good Ciddies despite various obstacles he has come across along the way. It was a tight schedule, but you pulled it off and I applaud you for that. I also found some of the innovations to how you ran the Ciddies to be really good, so I'll be sure to pick up on some of them for 2012! A truly worthy Ciddies, indeed.
