Pre-ordered from Amazon, as well as the collector's edition strategy guide. I did the same with the first one. Funny enough problems happened with my collector's edition guide, so I had ordered a regular edition guide, and they ended up sending me the collector's one too. So I have the collector's one unopened. Greatly looking forward to it though as I enjoyed the battle system.

Pre-ordered mine too. I probably wouldn't have normally, but SE did invite me to their offices to play it, so I felt obligated.

I'll buy it on release, if I can afford to. Kinda broke at the moment. And I also want to buy Soul Calibur 5 which comes out the same week.

I'm buying it at Wal-Mart when it comes out so I can get that sweet poster. Already filled my pre-ordering quota with the Mass Effect 3 N7 Edition xD

Is this their new business plan? :p
I'm on the fence whether I will buy this at release or at price drop. It will probably happen whenever I get to the point I am thinking "I have several hours to kill". Not that I get that luxury all that often.

I really want to start playing it on release day, but I'm not even close to finishing Skyward Sword yet! I did bump Skyrim down a notch though, so I'll get it as soon as I beat Skyward Sword.
Having a lot of first world problems over here.

I can only afford the N7 collectors edition of ME3. And if you know anything about me, you know how much I love kaidan alenko. So it's more about how much do I love kaidan alenko vs my loyalty to the FF. Obviously Kaidan wins. I'll wait till it drops in price.

Hell no. I though FFXIII was everything a JRPG shouldn't be. Overly linear, the game practically played itself in most battles, under whelming story and many other things. If you liked it then more power to you but from what I have seen this isn't like FFX-2 where they practically made a completely different game in terms of gameplay, story and style that happens to start the same characters as last time. This looks like the cut story from FFXIII. Same battle system and all. Just a different story. I have not been following this game at all so my impressions might be off. Please...give me shit if I am wrong and tell me how wrong I am if my impression is off. It is the only way I will learn =D

It's a hell no for me too until I get the chance to play XIII. If I find XIII good enough to warrant a sequel I will, but if I don't, then I won't. I also find it highly suspicious that this game is coming out before two games that were announced long before it.

I probably wont play it unless I win it or one of my parents buys me it or something

For starters, the linearity is gone. Also the story is more or less completely different than FFXIII. The battle system does remain the same (ie. battles play themselves for the most part), but there has been some welcome enhancements. See my review (http://forums.eyesonff.com/final-fantasy-xiii-2/139850-my-thoughts-first-3-hours-final-fantasy-xiii-2-a.html) if you want to learn more about the changes.

When I played the demo I was sold as soon as I ran into Chocobolina XD
Will probably buy it, but not pre-ordering and not on release. No collector's editions for me either. Just want to see what I'm doing/playing by the time it comes out. Don't really want it to sit there on my shelf if I'm playing some other game (finally got sick of skyrim but waiting for star wars: the old republic).

I might get it when the price drops to something like 20 euro's. I didn't really care for the characters or world in XIII, so I'm a bit cautious whether I want to return to that.
