I do remember seeing Mystic Quest for the SNES at the rental store when I was very young, but for some reason I never bothered to pick it up. Other than that I don't remember seeing any Squaresoft games around back then over here.

I actually played both Rad Racer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rad_Racer) and 3D World Runner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-D_WorldRunner) before I played the first Final Fantasy. Good times. Especially 3D World Runner.

My first Squaresoft game was Final Fantasy IV back when it was II on the SNES but I never finished it. My first finish was Final Fantasy VII. I played Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Vagrant Story around the same time but never finished any of them. I don't think I've ever played a straight ENIX game.

I just assumed we were talking about both entities since Square Enix most likely holds the rights to all the IP that Squaresoft developed.

Either Dragon Quest I or Final Fantasy IV. I honestly have no recollection of which one I played first.

The first one I remember playing particularly well is Final Fantasy VI though. The others I must have played when I was like 8.

Of course, if we're talking post-merger than FFX would be my first "Square Enix" game, but whatever :monster:

First Square game was Final Fantasy Adventure, which I played on my Gameboy Pocket. My first Enix game was Illusion of Gaia. For some reason, it makes me feel old thinking of all the games I played before they merged, even though I'm only 19, and the Square Enix merge wasn't THAT long ago.

My first Square-Enix game is a toss up between Final Fantasy Origins (which first used the Square-Enix moniker but was made before the merger) or Star Ocean III: Til the End of Time which was developed around the time the merger was finished.
