I got forced to eat chocolate covered mealworms. I don't know how I feel about it. It tasted like bad biscuit covered in bad chocolate. And then it tasted like yuck.

What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

I accidentally made this half egg half pancake...thing when I was a kid. Then I put salt and syrup on it. The weird part is that it tasted good.

And I am not stalking you, Jiro. You just keep making threads that I like to reply to.

A mealworm without the chocolate.

I've had chocolate covered ants. They aren't really weird though, pretty delicious. I've also eaten various amounts of offal.

I had balut once. If you want to know what that is, it's a cooked fertilized duck egg. It's popular in the Philippines.

I've eaten some weird things or unusual things if you're British.

in random order:

Ostritch
Alligator
Kangaroo
Civet filtered coffee (well I drank this)
Chocolate covered, Giant African Ants
Chocolate covered scorpion
Snake Vodka (vodka with a small snake drowned in the bottle, the idea is to eat the snake afterwards, I had a bit of the snake but not all of it)
Pearl Dust (this is an aphrodisiac!)

Once my grandpa's volunteer organization had a fourth of July party on the Niņa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niņa) replica. Pot luck! My grandma informed me that someone was bringing flan. I had always wanted to try flan! But I wasn't hungry yet so I waited. My younger brother got a big blob of goopy stuff, took a bite, and declared "this is the weirdest cake I have ever eaten." And I told him, "that's flan, not cake" because I am so wise and knowledgeable in the ways of popular Mexican desserts. He was like "I've never had flan but I don't think this is it. It's seriously some weird shit, try it." And so I did try it, expecting it to taste sweet, since I thought it was flan and he thought it was cake, except it was spicy. Like really spicy. And kind of fruity? Have you ever done that? Expected something to taste the opposite of spicy but then it was? It is the weirdest thing.

Anyway one of the volunteers informed us that it was raspberry chipotle sauce.

Can't think of anything exceptionally weird that I've ever eaten, to be honest. Probably the most random thing was raw horse meat. That was pretty good. I get the distinct feeling that I'm forgetting something, but oh well. :wacky:

The weirdest thing I've had was this cheeseburger with peanut butter on it. It was delicious.

I eat fairly tame stuff. :|

A half-eaten McDonald's burger that someone had thrown away in a dumpster. They had put some kind of weird hot sauce and mayonnaise and some other nasty stuff on it. But I figured it was better to have a crappy tasting burger than nothing in my stomach. Back when I was without a place to stay.

The things I eat are only weird depending on who you talk to. Some of my favorite foods are squid, eel, and smelt eggs. I also tend to combine foods that people don't often combine, but I just like variety is all. For lunch I'll often open up my fridge and pull out a couple of bites of ten different things, at which point my husband once again declares that I am five.

I'll try pretty much anything once.

You take that back! :aimmad: It's because you americans never know how to spread it properly.

I think if there's one thing us Americans know how to do it's spread things.

I do that too, and there is nothing to figure out. It just tastes good.
