Hi EoFF!

So did you ever get a name change? What was your old name?

My old name used to be Moo Moo the Ner Cow :D
you can actually find screenshots of this in somethingawful when they found our site and made happy lol times with us (i should start a thread about that too)

Anyway, how many name changes did you go through? Why are you what you are called now?

I think I have you guys to blame for me being called Peegee. Because my first name wasn't that. Nope.

Also, I was given permission to announce that any name change requested in this thread will be honoured.

I registered with Jesse1. Then one day I decided that a username my uncle made up for me when I was eleven is kind of lame, so I had a change to my current name. I still go by Jesse1 in chat.

Pike

When I first registered I was Gir because LOL SO EDGY AND RANDOM INVADER ZIM REFERENCE.

Pretty soon I realized how silly I looked and it was a combination of that + the fact that I went by Pike almost everywhere else that had me changing my name before long. NEVER AGAIN.

Edit: For anyone who cares, Pike is a shortened version of "Pikestaff", a roleplaying character I made in like 1998 and "RP'd" (trolled, mostly) with on message boards for fans of the Redwall series. :monster:

Sephex

When I first joined I was "Sephex018" for a couple of months. I realized the numbers were useless, so I PMed Unne and he changed it for me.

This was almost 11 years ago.

My original username is a secret not even the inquisitive Roogle can solve :shifty:

I was Lekana. Then I moved away from that username all over the net. Now I show my IX pride :3

I was Professor Plum for a few months. Just 'cause.

I came up with this name when I was twelve, out of desperation for something unique without numbers. So I'm basically sick of it. In fact, I'm gonna change it right now. Forever.

I choose Cid.

No, me and BoB had a talk and people keep saying they would be disappointed if I changed my name.

I was eternal essence for a long while. Now I too am edgy with my awesome Jhonen Vasquez reference. But more importantly no one confuses me for a girl anymore.

EDIT: and HC, never listen to BoB about something as important as a name change.

Shlup
02-22-2012, 11:59 PM
Yeah, I always thought that you were a girl. I like that you got so sick of it that you actually put "Boy" directly in your name.

I'll be honest shlup; for you, I'd pretend to be a girl again. Just say the word.

I had several name changes, but I always end up going back to this name. My last screen name was Blues Agent, which lasted for a good year or so.

The only ones I can remember using for more than a few days here were Kilgore Trout and Deathjester (I was also The Woman for the gender-swap thing, I believe, and probably some other stuff I forgot), but I used more names than I can possibly remember elsewhere. Speaking of which if someone would add Kilgore Trout to my "Formerly" field I'd appreciate it

My name has never, and will never change. I'm named after the father of my first ever Gold Chocobo in FFVII. It would be a disrespect to him if I changed.

To be honest though, he slept with quite a few females in that game from what I can remember...

I don't think I've ever changed my name except for that one time I made fun of Psy and he changed my name to Squall. Which was pretty recent. I PM'd BoB a while back and we discussed changing my name but we couldn't really think of anything. Somebody give me ideas?

Sir Cloud in the house.

Huh, you look like you were born in nineteen-fifty-eight, so you have that in common with her as well.

My opinions in regards to name changes are correct. Loony BoB's opinions in regards to name changes are wrong. This is the most important idea to take away from this thread.

I never knew how to change my username but if I could I would either change it to Sapphyra (youtube and a variation of a wow characters' name) or Coronetta (my old WoW priests' name)

Haha Elf Only Inn :<3:
I was thinking more along the lines of "Indefatigable Thunderbum"

G13
02-23-2012, 10:21 AM
I was Flibber T. Gibbet for a few weeks during some name change frenzy/event/whatever. I probably would have kept it for a few months if someone hadn't changed it back when I wasn't looking. It was a legit name change. :colbert:

Mandalorian XIII, which was basically fan service to myself because at the time I found that stupid story terribly entertaining. I think it was part of the Elections, too.

Legendary G13, because apparently just plain ol' G13 was too boring for some of the old farts in the staff forum. I think we compromised on that when G13 was shot down for being too short or something, and we pulled out an old PM I sent BoB from when I joined asking if he would change my name to Legendary Guardian XIII (I was once under the misconception that Jecht was a badass and that my internet persona should mirror that for some reason :shobon:). The nicknames that came from Legendary G13 focused on the first part of the name rather than the one I had already delivered on a silver platter at the end of the name, and really, who was I kidding, I'm not legendary at all.

So now I'm just G13. I like it. I identify better with it, and I still get to keep my original username in a way. I might go back to Guardian XIII some time in the future, but for now I'm content being an acbronym.

I registered as Cimanim, which was a play on my current name, but I eventually asked to have my name changed to this (I think I asked Leeza and feared she would tell me no). I use Cim everywhere for everything and I have since 2004 or 2005.

Cimanim = I'm manic. Coincidence?

CimminyCricket
02-23-2012, 06:38 PM
Haha, maybe. Maybe not. When I was first developing my online presence, I went by Crazy Insane Maniac and I demanded that people refer to me by the whole name. xD Eventually someone just called me CIM so I went by that for a while until I decided I liked how Cim looked and then people started coming up with names like Cimanim, CimminyCricket, and so on.

Also, Cimmothy, Cimberly, Cimantha...

Loony BoB
02-24-2012, 01:08 PM
I don't like permanent name changes, although short term ones (like a few days) can be amusing. I've had a few for random events, like Loony RsL on RSL day, for example.

Of the name changes there have been around here over the years, I think that Genius Lynx's have perhaps been the worst ones ever. And that's saying something, because there have been a lot of awful name changes.
