First topic: Best food you've ever eaten.

I tried making that bacon-cheeseburger-pizza-sandwich thing that Sephex posted a picture of in some thread, and it came out delicious. We even put chili on it ^.^

I've eaten some pretty damn good alfredo. That's all I can think of, really.

Italian food usually taste good, so the best for me would have been chicken parmesan! Though, my spam spaghetti was pretty darn good!

Spam spaghetti? What?

It's just spaghetti with spam cut into cubes added into the sauce. I used the turkey spam instead of the regular kind.

I can't decide if it's damn good Mexican food or the steak I had at Donovan's. Either were fucking delicious, but the Mexican food is cheaper. /smug

When was the last time you got a sunburn? I had some lifeguard training today and I think I got a very slight burn on my biceps and a little on my nose. :(

Hell if I know. Probably when I last went to the public pool during the summer. And I must have been at least a teen by then.

#5

...That sounds disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself, sir.

#5

Actually, I am quite proud because I cooked it myself! Don't hate it till you tried it yourself!

Sunburn? Sometime last week when I was raking the yard and had an OCD attack. IT HAD TO BE PERFECT.

Dude, how big is your damn yard? I got burned because I was out in the sun from 8AM-5PM. :p

It's not too big, maybe 30x40 ft. minus the little walkway. But like I said, it had to be perfect. I was raking for like 6 hours, almost.

I keep getting sunburns on my face because it's cloudy outside and I assume that UV rays aren't intelligent enough to bounce off the snow and rape my face.

Do you ever get buyer's remorse? I don't know if I regret buying the things I did or if I just regret giving up my money :(

I just bought a Silverback in Gears 3 and it got punched by a Lambent Berserker :( It cost pretty much all of my money and now I am a pauper.

The only time I ever have buyer's remorse is in video games, really. I don't spend my money on silly things in the real world. I like to buy things that are practical... or cute.

I used to get buyers remorse but then <s>I took an arrow to the knee</s> I made a budget spreadsheet so now that I see where my money goes I don't usually spend more than I have to.

Right now I'm having buyers remorse because some eBay seller ripped me off for $20 and it looks like eBay allowed them a loophole for them to get away with it.

eBay has given me some bad experiences so I try and stick to dealing with online stores that I know actually exist.

New topic time now? Uhh alright then, how about musical instruments? I got drafted into a band and I'm the drummer but I'm really not any good at it. Just going to wing it and have fun though, y'know?

Phil ought to be very proud of you.

I used to play an instrument, back in high school. I played the clarinet. I also had played the trombone, but I switched because the trombone was such a heavy instrument to carry around. I hated it.

I'm getting back into playing guitar and I'm still decent at the piano so I should be keeping up with that too. Everything else that I could play I'm fairly done with, I guess. I used to want to play a lot of instruments but I mostly just want to stick with guitar and piano for now.

#21

I like to brag about being able to play multiple instruments. I can play guitar, bass, and drums well enough to actually start recording a music project that I've been meaning to start for a while now. I can kind of play piano, but I'm still learning to not suck. :p

I used to play euphonium, and as a youngster I found it a very laborious task as the damn thing was about the same size as me and twice as heavy. But I managed to get pretty good at it. Only stopped because the high school wanted to me to buy one if I wanted to continue, and I wasn't about to spend a few grand on an instrument I wasn't amazing at.

Shlup, you're lame.

Now on to a the new topic: memes. Do you like memes? Do you hate memes? Do you have a favorite meme? Should people keep memes on the Internet?

Memes are awesome and if you don't like them you suck. I don't know if I have a favorite, but I really like using the "X Y is X" meme against people. I also like the "X grab my Y" comics. I use some memes out in "public" but mostly just with friends. I also can appreciate well thought out fliers that use memes being posted.

Now let's see how cool the rest of you are.

I like most memes, but a lot of memes are old and need to be retired. Rage comics aren't even rage comics anymore, and most of the newer memes are being misused all over facebook. I think my favorite is Insanity Wolf but there are so damn many I can't even decide.

I love memes, but there are quite a bunch I don't understand since I don't actively keep up with them. I sometimes visit the KYM site to see what's going on in the meme world.

doesn't afraid of anything.

Apparently he doesn't know his grammar very well, either.

Either way, he's reply #30. So we all send him a Mognet now in accordance with the game's rules. (http://home.eyesonff.com/general-chat/141459-mognet-game-sign-up-until-feb-25th.html)

D'oh! I kinda misread your rules earlier this week by mistake. When I saw "Thirtieth" (30th), I read it as "Thirteenth" (13th) in my mind so I had a couple of us send Psy a Mognet Message. xD I was wondering why he hadn't posted a new thread for this game then.

That's a meme, you dicks. Also, your rules didn't say to change the topic on the 30th reply, I remember something about stopping the thread there and then a new one being made when you fucks sent me your messages.

The thread doesn't stop at 30, the game just extends into another thread for the second part while the first thread continues. Sorry, I should have made that more clear.

Anyway new topic:
You're stranded on an island and you get to pick a single type of fruit to eat for the rest of your stay. What fruit is it?
Sarah asked me this earlier and I couldn't make up my mind between bananas and mangoes :(

Definitely bananas; they're not messy, they're delicious, and they're good enough for monkeys.

My favourite fruit is strawberrys but I don't know if I could live off them. That'd feel wrong. Bananas may be more filling. Depends how fresh/ripe the fruit was though, I am hella picky.

I'm tempted to say watermelon because not only will it likely satisfy my water requirements, I could use the... shell(?) as a tool, like a bowl or a helmet or something.

It's good for protection until it dries up and becomes brittle. Not that it could, because I don't know if that can happen to watermelon! But that's a good choice of fruit.

#41

Tigmafuzz

Watermelon can definitely become brittle. It rots fairly quickly if you've eaten all the actual melon off. It gets hard for like an hour and then it gets all mushy and nasty.

New topic: Filter Bubbles (www.wimp.com/filterbubbles/) - How do you feel about them?

It definitely sucks that we have no control over what gets filtered out of our everyday lives. Local media does it, search engines do it, social networking does it, and some of the factors that certain filtering systems use are things you might not have any control over, like your location or your acquired taste in music. And if somebody else uses your computer to search for something, it could filter your results in a way that removes things you would normally want to see.

I watched the video because I'm not lazy. TED is a prett amazing group, always bringing interesting and thought provoking stuff to the public. We've discussed the internet filter bubble here before with the same "screenshot your google" stuff but it's still terrifying.
