After three hours, edczxcvbnm finally got the Enemy Away materia he wanted.

The randomness of the Chocobo racing to win items is still bull**** after all these years.

Why not just destroy enemies instead of avoiding them like a little bitch? :greenie:

BECAUSE HE'S GOING FOR A PERFECT FILE, JIRO! :mad2:

Well that does explain it then. Congrats, I suppose. The items from Chocobo Racing always seemed way too fucking hard and not worth the effort.

Did he remember to keep a battery? :greenie:

I always found I got everything I ever needed out of the Chocobo races in the process of breeding chocobos.

Unless an item eliminates encounters entirely, I never notice a difference. I don't even notice much of an increase with Enemy Lure :/

Not sure. I think he has his own standards for a perfect file, though.

His own standards? That's not really SCIENTIFICALLY ACCURATE.

In edczxcvbnm's world, it is. Trust me on this...

I won't fuck with him then :p

If I don't use the battery then I don't get all the treasure in the game so that isn't perfect and if you use the battery then you don't have a pointless item in your inventory so that isn't perfect either. The standards by which people measure a perfect file is completely arbitrary and imperfect anyway so why bother with those?

And SwordFox totally got it right. When I want to play through the story and crap, the less random battles the better. Every game should have enemy away materia!

....it is almost like true perfection in all things is un-obtainable.

Now find a way to have your cake and eat it too.

I've always been puzzled by this saying... I understand what it implies but it just doesn't make sense.

When would you ever have cake and not eat it?

Once you eat your cake, you no longer have the cake, basically. Some people might like the idea of having cake. It's like having money and not spending it - loads of people have lots of money that they aren't using immediately. They might want to save their cake for later! And so on and so forth.

Maybe the cake is awesome. Like, it's a cake shaped like a chocobo. It seems like such a waste to eat a piece of art like that, but it is after all what it's designed for.

Exactly what BoB said.
