There are a lot of threads made about favourite dungeon or town, or best cutscene, but I'm curious about what everyone's favourite single background is. It doesn't have to be from a favourite area or section - just an image that sticks in your head when you think about FFVII.
Mine's of the first screens going up Mt. Corel:

Not sure what it is about this shot but ever since I played the game on PC back in 98, this is the image that has stuck in my head. I think it's something about the way the sun is just peeking out from behind the dead tree over the rugged terrain. The lens flare is a nice touch too. The mountains in the distance really hammer home the scope of the quest if it isn't already apparent. More than that, this is probably the first natural "open-air" location in the game, unless I'm mistaken. You have Midgar for 8 hours, Kalm, the Chocobo Farm, Mythril Mine, Upper and Lower Junon, Fort Condor (probably the only exception, although it's more of a small "town" as it is a dungeon to traverse), the cargo ship, Costa del Sol, and... here.
Mt. Corel in general is pretty laid back. After the incident on the Cargo Ship, the player arrives at Costa del Sol where they are treated to some relaxing backgrounds, tunes, and some plot exposition, and then move on to this first "dungeon" on the new continent (always a fascinating point in RPGs before map traversal went out the window). The whole mountain itself just feels kind of surreal, down to the dude just sitting at the beginning who tells you Sephiroth just went by. The scope of the chase continues to expand, not just limited to urban or industrial areas anymore. Who's to say where the chase will take the player at this point?
Mt. Corel also features one of my favourite themes in the whole series: Holding My Thoughts in My Heart (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRLPeMO-zwM&feature=related[/URL)
Anyway enough about me! Post your favourite single screens from FFVII and tell me why!
