The third installment in this wildly popular spinoff of both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors will be cutting its way to shelves this week in brilliant HD on both the PS3 and the XBOX360. Though some were disappointed at the revelation that some features would be available only in the form of DLC, most were satisfied by the large cast of characters (over a hundred and 30) including historical figures such as Joan of Arc.

In a step away from the previous two titles, the main villian of Warriors Orochi 3 is not The king of demons, but instead a gigantic eight headed dragon. Utilizing elements from both the samurai and dyansty warriors games, WO3 features the extreme lethal combat and crowd control that previous games have become known for, as well as a new story and a bods feature that strengthens as you fight with and protect officers.

Many fans are hoping this title will eventually be released on the VITA due to the large success the previous two titles had on the PSP, but as of yet it has yet to be confirmed or denied whether a VITA game is in the works.

I downloaded this last night. It's a blast so far! I'm almost overwhelmed by the amount of characters I'll get to play as, but I can't wait to unlock them all.

It's only out for the ps3 right now though. Xbox isn't until next week.

Yes all the voices are Japanese. The menus and subtitles are English though. This is the first time I've played a game that only had Japanese voice acting so it's taking some getting used to. I miss a lot of the conversations during battles, I just have to get used to reading all the important subtitles and ignoring all the "I killed an officer!" ones.
