How many of you have recently felt the pain of losing someone? And how did you cope with it?

I'm currently suffering from losing a dear friend and mentor, who has been broken down and is now a different person. I can only cope by anger and rage aimed at those who demeaned her and kicked her whilst she was down

When somebody's lost a close friend you don't make fun of them :(

It's been almost exactly a year since my bestie moved away from me. We haven't been apart since we were twelve, aside from the few weeks where she thought it'd be good fun to join the US Army. It's a bummer.

Edit: Recently I lost most of my family because of my parents' divorce. :(

I lost a bet recently, but I got steak in the end, so it wasn't all bad.

On the real, a friend of mine committed suicide right before New Years. He jumped from his apartment building roof. I found out about his death while on vacation.

That's awful, Shiny. :(

Shiny: Putting things in perspective. Damn. :(

Continuing the vaguely not-that-subtle thread topic: Many times throughout the past years, certain staff members had left staff prior to 1st April and it was really sad that there was no way they were coming back and all that.

It sucks, my friend moved to Utah and got involved with some weird New Age Otaku culture. It saddens me. :(

I used to talk to this guy on fb fairly often. He had just gotten a divorce, gotten himself a new set of lungs (he had some type of lung disease), and had up and moved to another state to start a new life. After so many years of unhappiness, he was finally happy, and I was happy for him. Then he stopped talking for, like, 2 weeks. I was really sad that he stopped talking to me, but I figured he was just so busy looking for a new job and getting a new place I didn't think anything of it. Then I went to stalk his fb wall to see if he had any pics of his new place up. Turns out he died. His new fake lungs got infected or something and he got pneumonia. His sister posted on his fb about his death, and I had missed his funeral easily by a week. :/ RIP Christoph.
