For the Swarm!

It's too bad they took them out in SC2 - but then Lurkers had limited application in BW

What are you on about PG lurkers were great

>slice through millions of marines/zealots/dragoons/goliaths/whatnot in ten seconds
>limited application

pick one, bro

Also it was really funny when the other guy tried to use lurkers because I usually played Protoss and made like ten observers and flung 'em all into his base

It was great

lurkers were useful in exactly one scenario:

when the opponent is noob and didn't have detection. Really the application (on the field, against scv-type units, um...nothing else) comes down to that.

Lurkers if anything were replaced by burrowed banelings, which is a nonsense statement because burrowed infested terrans still existed in BW

Anyway does this thread have a topic?

They were great for UMS maps and base-defense in Melee.

Speaking of playing Zerg in Brood War, one of the funniest things to do was to make a boatload of mutas, morph them all to Guardians/Devourers, and then go around the map in a circle and demolish everything

As someone who used to be a lurker on other forums, I think they will come out when the opportunity presents. If nothing else, go get a burning rag and smoke 'em out.

I never really thought about it until now, but with 188 lurkers on here at the moment, we're going to need those observers.
