View Full Version : Fanboy/Fangirl Moments
I recently saw this (http://www.ebay.com/itm/NES-Final-Fantasy-New-Sealed-Game-Very-RaRe-MINT-my-last-one-/110798248271?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item19cc17194f) and died a little inside because I don't have $2000. Goodness but I'd love to have that in a case in my house somewhere.
What are some of your FF fanboy/fangirl moments?

So is this the equivalent of Star Wars action figures? How does a sealed version of FF1 even exist? God dammit I am hating myself for not hoarding sealed copies of these old games now.
My fanboy moment: Miriel and I were in Nordstroms and all of a sudden we heard a familiar tune. It was the Nordstroms piano player playing "To Zanarkand". Surprisingly enough she was an older lady. We sat down on the chairs there and listened to her play it until the end. It was beautiful. She asked if we liked the song (she mentioned it by name). We said yes and asked her if she knew any other FF songs but she said that's all she knew. It was still pretty cool though!

Its because of things like this I am glad of my habit of buying two of something and only opening one. I have an the entire unopened collection of SJ monthly minus the first issue. I don't even have an opened version of that.
I have a ff3(6) for super nintendo. It is my prized possesion even though I own no SNES. It's in the box but there is no wrapper so I don't know if it is opened or not. :( Its definitely in there though.
I also have pong. but it is used. alot.
I have an unhealthy addiction to pong.
Anyhoo, that was all way off track. I saw a genesis sword for sale inside of a blade shop and nearly had a heart attack, then saw it was $600. I went back to the shop once a week to make sure it was still there (2 mile walk from home) Then about 2 months ago I walked in to find It had been bought. I was so sad, but in hindsight it would have been a terrible waste of money for me to buy it and just look at it.
I've nearly blown money on lots of ponies and a fanmade zack fair statue, thankfully I'm frugal.

I do the same thing, and all my friends used to poke fun at me for wasting money. Wasting money? I now have two copies of FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX and FFX. One opened and one still Factory Sealed! The Factory Sealed copies are quite pricy on places like amazon. I regret nothing!!!!
I also have sealed copies of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus. Plus sealed copies of The Lost World, Koudelka, Fighting Force and Swagman, to mention just a few. :D

I think I might have to start doing this.
Murd's story reminds me of the time I was in Target and someone was playing Cloud's theme on one of the demo keyboards.
