I have way too many clothes. But I will tell you I have nothing at all to wear. I will tell you that, and it is a lie, but I really feel that way.

Tomorrow I have to thin out some of my clothes and I just don't know how I'm going to do it and not feel like I have nothing to wear.

I have two HUGE suitcases full of clothes in storage right now that I haven't even seen in three years. But I need them. I really think it's borderline hoarding. Maybe not really, my whole life isn't piles of clothes, but maybe someday it will be and then I'll get on TV.

There are things in my closet I have never even worn. Too many things.

Are you like me? Do you have way too many clothes but still feel like you look stupid all the time and have nothing presentable? Yes I know that it's not the clothes' fault I look stupid, shut your face.

Do you hoard anything else? Have a collection of Barbies that's taking over your house? Embarrass your family with your "erotica of the world" collection on your living room wall? Also, do you want a purple dress?

I am the same way. I have soooo much clothes but more because I'm lazy and hate doing laundry. I have enough of everything (but pants i have to wash those more often) to go a month without doing laundry. Then it's like a whole day event but whatever. I hate most my clothes though so yahhhhhh I need more. I need a sugar daddy to just buy me stuff, clothes included.

I hoard papers. I just can't seem to throw away papers. It may be just statements or whatever but I have far too much of it D:

Also yes. I would like a purple dress.

Of course I don't do that; I'm not a woman.

I also don't hoard anything else because I'm not crazy.

I have a LOT of clothes. But, I really need to get rid of a lot of them. A lot of them are more teenager-ish, and make me look really young--and not in the good way. I really want to make my wardrobe more adult. So, when I say I have nothing to wear, in some ways I don't...unless I want to look 15.

I also used to be really skinny, and I need to give up the hope I will ever be that small again. *sigh*

I suppose I hoard old video games, and systems. I don't have an issue with it though, and have no plans to get rid of any of it. I barely ever play them, which is the real crime.

I hoard data. I'd rather buy a new hard drive than delete that old TV show I've been meaning to watch for years. Or those movies I liked that someday I might want to see again!

I hoard clothes and data. And academic stuff like textbooks, notes. I worry that one day I'll need something that I threw away and hate myself for it. Because I had that shit.

Haha, I might actually do this if I could fix my damned external hard drive.

i sometimes feel like I need new clothes.

I have basically 3-4 black long sleeve t-shirts, 2 white casual collar shirts, 2 red plaid shirts, one black casual shirt, one black dress shirt, some casual dress shirts, jeans, and slacks.

I want more shirts. MOAR

I have a shitton of t-shirts (largely from my college days when I got so many for free from intramurals), but that's about it. I started accumulating more suits now (I went from two to start to year to possibly four in the near future), but I will have to wear a suit every weekday this fall. *hangs self*

Oh god, I am bad about this too. I don't delete much data at all unless I absolutely have to. I still have like 50 GB of Buffy on my computer despite the whole show being on Netflix, which I somehow rationalize by concluding that at some point in time I may be without internet but have my laptop around and really really want to watch Buffy.

If anyone else thinks foa is better foa without any clothes at all

I hoard lack of sleep, if that counts.

I probably could use some new clothes. However, some of my old wardrobe will open up again if I lose some weight! Cheaper, but harder solution!

I am the anti-hoard... My clothes are generally fully refreshed (everything new) every two years.

I have way too many shirts. Some of them are older than dirt and way too big for me. But I am simply sewing them down to size. I like them and they are not in terrible shape by any means. I just need to not be lazy and do it.

That said, I could probably use another pair of jeans or something.

"I suppose I could just redownload Up In The Air if I feel like watching it in a few years... but what if the internet isn't as free anymore then and I really really want to?"

I have four kinds of clothes: ugly but comfortable clothes I wear when I want to be comfy but not naked, or when I'm doing something that could ruin my clothes, clothes I never wear because they were ruined or because I feel self-conscious in them, work appropriate clothing (yuck), and awesome clothes that I LOVE and I always wear on the weekend because I never ever get to wear them at other times. My friends joke that I always wear the same two outfits, but it just so happens that seeing friends and wearing my favorite outfits are things I can only do when I'm not at work!

Yeah, my closet is full at all times... Even when I clean out a bag of clothes I haven't worn in forever, it's still full. There aren't too many things that I haven't worn, I don't think... though there are plenty that I've only worn once. I recently cleaned out my shoes, so now I have room on my shoe rack for six more pairs. ^_^

I have a bunch of clothes that people have gotten me over the years that I never wear. Seriously I wear maybe 10% of my clothes. The rest just sits there. I should probably donate it all or something but cba.

Anyways all I wear are stereotypically geeky/neckbeard/forever-a-virgin shirts that I should have stopped wearing about ten years ago but screw that.

She says that but then her wardrobe these past few days has been pretty stylish and wins forever because of the geekiness factor.

Yeah, but they make you go to super expensive shops, and actually ridicule you for going somewhere reasonably priced.

My mother is like you foa. She has things in her basement, walk in closet, storage, drawers. She actually has multiple closets in different homes. I think she even has stuff in her mother's home. It's ridiculous. She's a shop-a-holic. People think I have alot of clothes, but really I just haven't changed that much from middle school to now (hence why I still get comments that I look 12 ;__; ). Stuff has just accumulated for me. If anything I have alot of sweaters because every year I get a sweater for Christmas. I have entire armoire dedicated to sweaters. I donate clothes every year as well when I do Summer cleaning. It frees up space for the clothes that I actually wear.

Girls lie about their possessions just like they often lie about how size doesn't matter to them.

Girls like the nice sized ones for other reasons other than intercourse. And that is probably why they lie about it.

Bro, size only matters to me if we are referring to the size of one's empire in EU3, having started as a one province minor nation.

fire_of_avalon, I am having a hard time believing you have a great deal of clothes. This can be remedied, I imagine, by you taking shots of you dressed up in various outfits. Yes, I think that would work quite well. I will send you my Mognet address.

I used to hoard images. I had an entire drive dedicated to every graphic I ever encountered. I sorted them via date, subject matter, and how they related to me (or not, and mostly not). I eventually realized how useless the database was beyond garnering oldbie respect/being especially creepy, and deleted the entire thing. How my heart ached when I saw how much space I suddenly had and could fill up with pornography like a normal person. But really, I never referenced my /bin for my own projects, never could share it because who cared, and was extraordinarily impressed how I obsessed with keeping such an archive. I found losing it all very liberating. I think if you are a grown adult, or perhaps a young person in college, you should experiment with things outside your comfort zone and see how much of your discomfort is based upon inexperience. Everyone can have a crutch and not be criticized, but try a day/week/month without and see what happens. It would be good for you, I promise.

I hoard retro gaming magazines. That way if anyone asks me my opinion on an old game... I can reply with a review written by some CG journalist twenty years ago... and pass their observations off as my own. I am quite well revered amongst my gaming friends.

I only shop for clothes about once a year. Though I still end up wearing my old stuff most of the time.
