Technically not a Square Enix project, but two former staff members have teamed up to form Crunge Studio (http://toucharcade.com/2012/05/07/final-fantasy-devs-release-new-rpg-on-the-japanese-app-store/) and are releasing another neat little iOS game called Border Walker.
