USA wasn't USA 300+ years ago. Therein is the difference, maybe? Once some new people came after the protestants, the protestants still wanted them to assimilate anyway. It's the same everywhere.

This issue right here, should be a wake-up call to anyone who still thinks there is a difference between Republican and Democrat. The two parties are, for all intents and purposes, one in the same.

Think about it, Obama supporters. Just think about it. You hate Bush for all these wars, and you vote for someone who PROMISED, on multiple occasions during his campaign, that he'd withdraw all troops, end the wars, etc. What does he do? The exact opposite. Starts more wars than even Bush did, relocated the troops from Iraq to Libya/Afghanistan, has asked for and signed draconian anti-civil-rights legislation, and you continue to defend him!!!!

Get over your cult of personality for the man, admit that you were brainwashed, and move on from the corrupt two parties. Let's have some real change. Say what you want about Ron Paul, but he is truly changing the political landscape right now.

You think your country has political problems? During the local elections here in the UK, there was a bit of a surprise result for the Liberal Democrats (a leading party here in the UK). The Lib Dem Edinburgh candidate actually received fewer votes than an independant candidate called 'Professor Pongoo'.

Who is Professor Pongoo I hear you ask? He was a candidate who spent his entire campaign dressed as a penguin.
