They could have at least spelled Tekken Right. And Paul isn't how you spell Hwoarang.

PS3: Fallout 3
PS2: Kingdom Hearts/ Ratchet and Clank
GBA: megaman Battle Network
GBC: pokemon Silver
NDS: Viva Pinata/ FF TA2
VITA: Mortal Kombat
PS1: ff7/ Spyro 1
N64: goldeneye

My favorite games by system:

NES: The Legend of Zelda
SNES: Final Fantasy III (VI)
Sega Genesis: Pirates' Gold
Game Boy: Final Fantasy Legend II
Game Boy Color: Pokemon Yellow
Game Boy Advance: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Nintendo 64: Goldeneye 64
Playstation: Final Fantasy VII
Playstation 2: Kingdom Hearts 2
Playstation 3: Mass Effect 2
Nintendo DS: Radiant Historia
PSP: Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
Gamecube: Super Smash Bros. Melee
Wii: Super Mario Galaxy 2
PC: Final Fantasy XI

I thought that would be hard but it was actually pretty easy. Except PS3. That system is too recent to have a definite favorite.

I forgot about final fantasy legend. I never finished either one mostly due to them not being legitimate final fantasy games (having been created under different names and later changed by square)

They're all pretty fun, but 2 is the best. I thought there was a remake in the works for FFL2 but I guess it never made it stateside.

NES: Super Mario Bros. III

PlayStation: Final Fantasy VII
PlayStation 2: Metal Gear Solid 3
Nintendo DS: Final Fantasy III
PlayStation 3: Metal Gear Solid 4

Del made this pretty easy for me. So for mine see above with the following exceptions:

Replace:
Sega Genesis: Phantasy Star IV
Game Boy Color: N/A: never had one
Playstation 2: Final Fantasy XII
Playstation 3: Dead Space 2

Add:
XBOX: Marrowind
XBOX 360: Toss up between Limbo and Trials Evolution

Honorable Mentions:

SNES: Super Metroid; The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past or Super Zelda as I refer to it; actually...I was going to list several more games, but let's just say that the SNES was awesome, had a sh*tload of awesome games and was the best system ever, shall we?

XBOX360: Braid, Fruit Ninja Kinect, Orange Box, Portal 2

Wii: Twilight Princess

PC: Minesweeper

Let's give this a whirl... I'm avoiding ports and remakes to make this more fair.

NES: Mega Man 2
Genesis: Sonic and Knuckles
Game Boy: Pokemon Red/Blue
SNES: Chrono Trigger
Playstation: Xenogears
Gameboy Advance: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - If I allowed ports, it would be Final Fantasy VI Advanced
Playstation 2: Metal Gear Solid 3 and Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 - I seriously can't decide between them.
NDS - The World Ends With You
PSP - Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep
Playstation 3 - Assassin's Creed Revelations
Wii - Xenoblade Chronicles/Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
PC - Civilization 2

I have a few other systems I could try to list but my experience with them is not large enough to make a fair judgement. I also forgot how crappy the Game Gear was because I can't fathom a title for the life of me that was actually good on that thing...

My favorite games by system:

NES: The Legend of Zelda
SNES: Chrono Trigger
Sega Genesis: Shining Force II
Game Boy: Pokemon Blue
Game Boy Color: Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Game Boy Advance: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, closely followed by Megaman Battle Network 3 Blue
Nintendo 64: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Playstation: Final Fantasy VII
Playstation 2: Final Fantasy X. Persona games disqualified for crazy reasons.
Playstation 3: Um... Not an easy one, just no glorious games. Probably FFXIII-2, though AC2 is also a contender.
Nintendo DS: Chrono Trigger! Erm, ok no duplicates. Actually, I think Rune Factory 3 ties with Final Fantasy Tactics A2.
PSP: Persona 3 Portable. Easily.
Gamecube: Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, or Metroid Prime. It's a tie. Because both games absolutely rock.
Wii: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, probably. Maybe Metroid Prime 3. I want a sequel to Pokemon XD though.
X-Box: Star Wars Battlefront II. Although it needs a mouse and keyboard.
X-Box 360: A HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Yeah. Um, Blue Dragon. Yep, it's one game on the console I can actually enjoy, and not find a copy of on a different system.
PC: Mass Effect trilogy (except the end of ME3). Yeah, it's one big game, and I'm too lazy to pick. ME2 probably wins, but the first is so... Classic.

Harder than I thought.

What I meant was that I can't choose a favourite, I like too many games . If you get my drift..

But, I can make list, so here I go:

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy V
Legend of Dragoon
Spyro (1, 2, 3)
Crash Bandicoot (every game on PS1)
Heroes of Might & Magic III
Devil May Cry (3, 4)
Vagrant Story

I guess that's it for now.

Playstation 2: Metal Gear Solid 3 and Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 - I seriously can't decide between them.

If someone held a gun to my wife's head I'm not sure I could decide between those two.

NES: Super Mario Bros.
SNES: FFVI
N64: Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon
Gamecube: Tales of Symphonia
Wii: Hahahaha! But seriously, I'm having a hard time thinking of one at the moment.
Game Boy: Zelda: Link's Awakening
GBA: Metroid Fusion I guess. I'm trying to avoid remakes/re-releases.
DS: Trauma Center
PSX: Metal Gear Solid
PS2: What Wolf said.
PS3: Valkyria Chronicles
PSP: FF Tactics. Yeah, I know what I said about remakes. smurf it.
Genesis: Sonic 2
Dreamcast: Resident Evil: Code Veronica maybe, but it's tough when the system had Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur and Sonic Adventure among others. My answer would vary by mood.
PC: Either SMAC, Deus Ex, Half-Life, or Starcraft: Brood War. Again, kind of depends on my mood.

Ocarina of Time, no other games need to exist.

I liked Majora's Mask more.

Dragon Crystal. I played the hell out of that game.

I actually played this for the first time on 3DS Virtual Console and liked it. I wanted to try out the Game Gear emulation and it seemed to be the only Game Gear game on the service that wouldn't lose anything from being a Game Gear game. (The other two were platformers.)

This is a tough question. It really depends on my mood, to be honest. But right now I'm on a huge RPG kick and I'm playing through Bahamut Lagoon and loving it, so I'll say that.

Not sure, but in all likelihood it's on the SNES or N64. I have a favourite entry for every franchise I like, but no favourite game overall. In that spirit...

-Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
-Donkey Kong Country 2
-Final Fantasy I
-Star Fox 64
-The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
-Sonic the Hedgehog the Porcupine* 3 and Knuckles
-Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (my favourite Mario-related game overall; if I considered the Yoshi games a separate franchise then my favourite Mario game would be Super Mario World. Probably. The only other Yoshi game I played though is Yoshi's Story so as far as I'm concerned I'm classing Yoshi's Island as a Mario game. It has Super Mario World in the title.)
-Star Ocean: Second Evolution (though I sometimes play the original version as well for the hilarious voice acting.)
-The Ultimate DOOM
-The entire freakin' Guilty Gear series. I don't have a favourite entry in it.
-Resident Evil (the original. I love the voice acting. It's timeless.)

And then of course, picking a favourite from each of these is kinda hard because of all the individual games I like where there is either no franchise or I just haven't played any of its brethren, such as Bubble Bobble, Chrono Trigger, GoldenEye (the N64 version; it's a lot of fun without having a stick up its own arse about it) and a load of others so I'm really unable to outright state a favourite game.

*the Guinea Pig the Golden Onion Ring Eater the Olympic World Medallist Swimmer the Rolling Blue Spiky Heavy Metal Pinball the Guinea Pig and Bunny Protector the Eggman Destroyer the Casper The Friendly Ghost Protector Part One.

DC: Phantasy Star Online

Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles
360: Darksiders (yes I do know this isn't 360 exclusive)
PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

OoT is a great game but it was not OoT I was playing 4 person death match with my college roommates all night instead of studying.

I also keep forgetting Tactics Ogre is a remake on PSP. It's so well done that it looks and feels like a brand new game for that system. As for completely original games, Birth By Sleep is my favorite for PSP.

Perfect Dark was a better game on a technical level, but I still found that GoldenEye was just more fun. That's what I'll always remember it for. Oh, and for not needing the expansion pak, the availability of which Nintendo royally screwed up where I lived. Majora's Mask was hit a lot harder though.
