What email client do you use? Is anything even remotely better than gmail? I don't know if there is but I'd be curious.

Sometimes when I'm feeling inspired I hook my gmail up to Thunderbird but honestly it's probably easier to just do it all via the web interface.

I use gmail for most important emails, but I do also have email with yahoo. Don't really like that very much though.

I use hotmail because...there is no real reason. I do have a gmail, but it isn't my main email. I probably should set up something more dignified sooner or later, but I don't feel like it most of the time.

Dear EEoff,

Having consulted with my colleagues and based on the information gathered from the Nigerian Chambers Of Commerce And Industry, I have the privilege to request your assistance to transfer the sum of $47,500,000.00 (forty seven million, five hundred thousand United States dollars) into your accounts. The above sum resulted from an over-invoiced contract, executed, commissioned and paid for about five years (5) ago by a foreign contractor. This action was however intentional and since then the fund has been in a suspense account at The Central Bank Of Nigeria Apex Bank.

We are now ready to transfer the fund overseas and that is where you come in. It is important to inform you that as civil servants, we are forbidden to operate a foreign account; that is why we require your assistance. The total sum will be shared as follows: 70% for us, 25% for you and 5% for local and international expenses incidental to the transfer.

The transfer is risk free on both sides. I am an accountant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). If you find this proposal acceptable, we shall require the following documents:

(a) your banker's name, telephone, account and fax numbers.

(b) your private telephone and fax numbers —for confidentiality and easy communication.

(c) your letter-headed paper stamped and signed.

Alternatively we will furnish you with the text of what to type into your letter-headed paper, along with a breakdown explaining, comprehensively what we require of you. The business will take us thirty (30) working days to accomplish.

Please reply urgently.

Best regards

Joseph Levitt

When I first got an email address, I was using Lycos. It did the job for about 5 years, and then they switched to a new server client or something and it went in the tank. From that day forward, I have used Gmail. I also have a Yahoo email, but that's for junk or anything that I don't wanna regularly see sitting in my inbox.

I have two gmails. My email for important things and then my email I get google alerts and such on. I also still use my hotmail cause well i've had it forever. So really I keep up with 3. I like gmail cause I have it connected to my phone so I'm always in the know. :cool:

I have my old, OLD hotmail, my serious person gmail, and my band gmail all linked to my iPhone and I check my emails on there so I'm not having to look at three accounts on a computer and can check them any time of the day.

I've never tried anything near as usable as Gmail. I only wish it was a little faster. Like most people I have a secondary email (mine is at mail.com) that isn't that great but I keep it because I've used it forever. I keep thinking I should migrate it to a secondary gmail account instead, but that's so much work with all the age old accounts tied up to it and whatnot.

I've got several emails as well.

One old Hotmail that is used as the spam bin for signing up for things that will probably bombard me with junk;
My "main" gmail;
A gmail specific to my blogs;
A gmail specific to my art commissions

I've been looking around for a good gmail alternative but I'm not having much luck. At the risk of sounding like a Freetard (oh who am I kidding, I am a Freetard,) I'm not the biggest fan of the way Google has started to hook everything up and social-media-ify it so I'm drifting away from their products. Gmail is really the only thing of theirs that I use anymore, which I guess isn't a big deal now that I think about it, since what can they hook up to it if it's the only Google thing I use? xD

Yes, but the passwords are secret and the addresses are things like porn_dude101@eyesonff.com. Yours is xOxyunahentaixOx@eyesonff.com. Enjoy!

I use the same Yahoo! account I made when I was eleven. I also have gmail. As for software, I prefer to just use the web interface for personal and the one built into Opera for work. But then they made me switch to Outlook. I hate Outlook. It's too professional.

I used to use the eyesonff email until that stopped. I've been using gmail since beta and have had no reasons to ever change :p

I like when I'm searching for an email in Outlook and I can't access the damn inbox for 2-4 minutes because I didn't narrow down the search criteria enough and so it's going through all emails doing full string search for the word "the" in the body of 10000 emails.

I use email for making contact with people so rarely these days that I've just stuck to Hotmail as I have a few people I'm only in touch with via Windows Live Messenger.

I have way too many emails...

Old AOL account for spam
GMAIL account for main things, important stuff, business, etc. I would connect this to YouTube but it's lame and won't let me
Uni account for YouTube and some business related stuff
MSN account for EoFF warnings and I have a few coupon stuff from Barnes and Noble and other places that I get emails from

Also have a deufunk Verzion email account that was automatically set up, but I don't use it ever. God knows what goes to it.

My university email is reserved for university and choir stuff. I use Gmail and Hotmail for the rest (friends, family, work, forum notifications etc). I do like how nowadays all of these accounts have so much space reserved for emails, pics and such; in the past I often had to struggle with what to spare and what to get rid of from the inbox. :)

Yeah, I remember for the longest time that my Hotmail account sat at 98% full for several years. Then one day it said it was 2% full. I was happy.

I have three email accounts, all gmail. Personal, school (special gmail account given by my law school), and random internet stuff (now really just used as the listed email for my website). I have used gmail exclusively since the time that beta accounts were actually somewhat rare and in wide demand.

I have my Gmail, Hotmail and Virgin email addresses all fed in to my Thunderbird, allows me to deal with the 3 of them quickly and efficiently. I hardly ever use my yahoo so I keep that just for when I have to sign in there and check quickly.

At work we use Outlook all the time. I'm well versed in both thunderbird and outlook. Though I've noticed many offices these days using emails with the gmail interface. Good job I'm fair whiz at that too.
