It's time. Time to hand our wallets over to Gaben and Steam. I've already bought myself some games (Morrowind, Binding of Issac: Wrath of the Lamb expac, Magicka collection, and Sega Genesis Classics Volume 5) and added a lot of stuff to my wishlist that I hope to snag soon.

First time I'm gettin into this and this is just really ridiculous.

I've gotten things like Civ III, the Crusader Kings II expansion, and Heroes of Might and Magic V for under $3. Grabbed Splice and the Pirates! remake for $5. I wanna grab Max Payne 3 but it was $40 on the first day, $30 yesterday, so... I'm waiting. I heard things are the best on the last day. It's like Valve is doing a school project for Economics 102 and they're mapping out every point on the y-axis for price.

I purchased Half Life 2 and The Dig. I already have a PC bundle of LucasArts games from a while ago, but for some reason it only includes demo versions of Full Throttle and The Dig. I might grab Max Payne 3, but also waiting for it to go down to $20. Hooray for cheap bastards.

The downside is most of the games that are really cheap I can't see myself playing either out of disinterest or because I'd prefer them a console. It's weird for me to play certain games without my Xbox or Playstation.

I have Cities XL 2011 and I like it just fine. I hated Sim City 4 though and this game is more akin to Sim City 3000 in terms of game play. I have not played this one extensively though but from what I have played it is what I was looking for.

So what's everyone's haul? My new credit card came on Friday so I grabbed a few things in the last few days:

Batman: Arkham City + DLC
Bastion
The Witcher 2
Just Cause 2

I've only had the chance to play some Batman so far. I'm not sure if I want to try and beat it before diving into everything else or play a bit of everything. I would've liked to grab some more too, but many of the better deals for stuff I wanted were earlier in the sale and I pretty much hit my spending limit. Mind you, I still spent less than if I went out and bought one console game brand new. And yes, that was a bit of a dig at the people who think PC gaming is too expensive. ;)

I really want DayZ, but I didn't feel the sale price was enough to get me to buy ArmaII right now. I'd rather get much better deals on my other games I bought and wait until next month to get Arma.

Mark my words though; I must play DayZ and the sooner the better. I'm actually surprised they didn't put the sale price down further what with the tremendous interest it's getting. There are likely people like me who opted for better deals, or people on the fence about getting a game just for a mod.

I was missing two mini-expansions that each normally go for 10 euro a piece, but if I bought the 12 euro version on Steam, I would get a key that would be valid for every single expansion released so far, and then I could just attach that key to my existing FF11 account and save like 40%.

So that's what I did.

I only added Fallout New Vegas to my haul. I am working on modding that and Fallout 3 at the moment with more updated textures, bug fixes and other various gameplay things.

I have already beat Episode 1 and 2 of The Walking dead and I found it fun and can't wait for the other three episodes. I am liking how my decisions actually carry over and have some sort of impact. Not to the extent that I want but that might come in part 4 where there is only one last episode to plan out.

Thank you for the help with Civ 4 (I have not started that yet).

I played a full game with Gods and Kings and they really need to fix spys. I am usually the technology leader and thus my spys have nothing to do :/ They don't seem to gain levels either after multiple election rigging. I have no clue how to level them up because they game doesn't explicitly tell me :/

I had Just cause in my cart along with FF11 Complete, and clicked check out, and steam said, sorry, we are currently experiencing heavy traffic, so I waited an hour and refreshed.

The games were back to full price.

I did not purchase either one.

Tip for next time. Never wait till the last minute. The servers are always slammed with everyone trying to get through. All of the final deals were up 12 hours before the sale ended. I waited till the last minute last time and I eventually got through but never again. If I buy on the last day then I buy early on the last day.
