What makes a good member?

I don't like this question, I don't think I'm qualified to define what makes a good member. We have a buttload of good members that don't follow any particular pattern. I've heard people say active posters make good members, but you can be the most active person on the forum and, depending on your attitude, not be a very quality member. Semi-active posters are just as, or should be in my opinion, valued as active posters, yet they get overlooked because "they don't post enough". I've heard all sorts of ideas about it.

I dunno, I think devotion is what makes a good member. Someone who loves the site and contributes to its community. I don't mean to name drop, but Psy is one of the best examples. He knows damn near everyone by name and is on friendly terms with them all and his sole purpose here it seems is to make sure everyone has a good time, whether it be games, jokes, stories, etc. Dude's got being a good member down to a science, and I think that's an important trait to have.

What makes a good CK?

Well that's easy: Willingness to put in the work needed to make the site better. I think a lot of people look at the title as all prestige, all relaxed, and no work other than to step in when someone gets out of line. I know I did at first.

What would you like to change about Eyeson to make it better?

Probably up the activity in staff. I hated how we let an important discussion about upgrades or new implementations or new rules just die and have nothing happen until someone remembered and revived the thread only to have it die in another week.

What color would you prefer your CK tag to be?

My orange (oh look, my tag is still there!) grew on me, but I've always been partial to sky blue.

If you were to be thrown into the thunderdome with one of the current staff, who would you go against and what would be your tactic?

Rantz. HO BOY RANTZ! My tactic would be to send my army of bears after him because that's really the only thing I could imagine would stand a chance at stopping that maniac.

What does FF (and EoFF) mean to you?

Final Fantasy will always be my first love of video gaming. I, like a lot of fans, am not really all that thrilled with the newer installments, but I find them to be good in their own rights. Admittedly, it's not really as big a part of my gaming life as it used to be, I don't think I've played one since XIII came out, but it still has that special place in my heart, as does EoFF. I don't really see myself ever leaving for good. I know no other internet home.

not exactly sky blue but I'd be willing to trade if you make it to the peak again my friend

Also I am still currently the biggest spam bot so I think I do alright at being a good member :monster:

you know perfectly well who is in possession of sky blue. Are you insinuating something bad is going to happen to me? I mean after all that nice and lovely stuff you said about me (Thank you. You are a boss yourself. :flirt:) I was going to offer to be in your corner again but now... :colbert:

Hey man, he dealt with orange even though he wanted your tag. That's because he loves you, man.

08-18-2012, 07:21 PM
Oh you DO have sky blue! I had heard rumors, whisperings in dark roadside inns on stormy nights. It's so rare to see you snip someone. I had thought it just the drunken ramblings of desperate men.

So are you guys finally going to make me a Cid's Guardian should I win this thing?

08-19-2012, 05:23 AM
Bring back Cid's Angels as well. It can be a limited time only super event.

08-19-2012, 11:35 PM
Also starring Rantzien, as Cid's GODDAMN TEA.

08-20-2012, 01:59 AM
I love it. Brilliant idea!

08-20-2012, 06:23 PM
I could be like

Cid's... guy?

Cid's Tiny Bronco.

08-21-2012, 01:11 AM
What about Cid's No. 26? It's totally vague and could mean anything.

08-21-2012, 07:18 AM
Wasn't there a member named No. 26 or something running around a few years ago?

08-21-2012, 07:23 AM
I did a quick search of the memberlist but it yielded nothing. However, I think I know who you mean. It's just there, on the edge of recollection...

08-22-2012, 05:09 AM
No. something, I know that much... which really isn't much. :greenie:

08-22-2012, 05:22 AM
Ding ding ding!

It's not Cloud No.9 (http://home.eyesonff.com/members/3641.html), not Eagle NO.5 (http://home.eyesonff.com/members/14419.html), and not No.666 (http://home.eyesonff.com/members/13909.html); it is, in fact, No.78 (http://home.eyesonff.com/members/23187.html)!

08-22-2012, 08:39 AM
Look at you doing all that hard work I briefly entertained the thought of doing. :jess:

08-22-2012, 11:16 PM
Happy to be of help! :jess:

Captain's blog

Stardate: Dinner time

I've encountered a strange new planet. The natives call his place Tah Ko Bel. They've named me their new king and we celebrated with the breaking of bread, or rather more of a bread "bag" filled with meats and beans and a few unidentifiable vegetables.

Hold on, I seem to be experiencing some discomfort in my lower abdomen... what is this treachery? I believe I may have been poisoned! Everything's... gettingdark! Must. Gethelp! Spock! Is... thatyou? No. NO! I must be.... hallucinating!

08-27-2012, 01:08 PM
I ate some, like, day-old refrigerated taco bell when I was at Roogle's house. It... was surprisingly delicious.

08-29-2012, 07:00 AM
Look what I found! (http://home.eyesonff.com/blogs-confessionals/125627-round-1-survey.html) :jess:

How old was I, 20? I wish I had an excuse for this. :erm:

08-30-2012, 08:31 AM
The CK comps make you do strange and terrible things. I'm glad to see arcanedude34 went the way of banned instead of CK, and you went the way of CK instead of banned though! Good times, old times.

08-31-2012, 04:27 AM
He was a pretty cool guy, though. I never understood why he asked to be banned.

08-31-2012, 05:53 AM
I wonder if anyone else had a contact for him. He was cool, he should come back.

09-01-2012, 07:42 AM
He was my failure apprentice. We shall not speak of him. :colbert:

09-01-2012, 08:00 AM
I always knew I was the favored child.

09-01-2012, 08:04 AM
It was all great when we were on staff. We were an e-rockband, you and I. Then you took e-cocaine and e-washed out and now I'm, I don't know, smurfin', PAUL MCCARTNEY or something. Still making music and everyone loves me, but deep down inside they're all thinkin' G13 lennon was the talented one and I'm just some bum. :doublecolbert:

09-01-2012, 08:12 AM

It's like our life.

09-01-2012, 09:28 AM
A video that won't load? That's a depressing metaphor. :(

I assume it's one of those "TOO BAD UK, YOU DON'T GET TO WATCH COOL SHIT" things YouTube frequently likes to pull. Yeah, we have free healthcare for all, but at what cost? Romney 2012.

09-01-2012, 02:47 PM
The preview looks like Anakin and Obi Wan's battle to me. In any case, I think G13 should just be given a spot back. No such thing as too many staff when they include the big G.

09-04-2012, 06:50 AM
I haven't done anything helpful or even remotely interesting in a while, there's no reason for such talk, Dak. You're a silly. :greenie:

And Paul, basically you're all about democracy, and I'm all about... saving the woman I love but amassing all kinds of power and ruling the galaxy as I see fit?

:-/ That seems wrong. Let's try again-

... and I'm all about banning bots and taking shots!

And then we kung-fu fought with glow sticks and I said something like "In my opinion the Staff are evil!" and you were like "You're absolutely right." and threw me in lava just to prove your point. But I'm still here, bro. I'm still here. :(

09-04-2012, 10:01 AM
My only responses would get me in trouble :exdee:
