Holy crap, I never noticed it could be minimized. I usually look at the blog posts and whatnot when I scroll down to the title-specific forums.

I used to minimize it, but not for a long while now, after I realized that the utility outweighed the original eyesore. It's very useful to see blog entries, news items, and new FF threads.

Having the sidebar open doesn't interfere with your mouse wheel, does it? Because if it does, then you probably have a much bigger problem.

It's possible you minimized it right away and completely forgot about it! Look for two arrows on the top right corner of the main forum!

I think it may be either auto-minimised or not there at all on some of the older, slimmer skins. If we still even have those skins.
