What surprise scary creatures surprised and scared you? Moths don't count. Ones that can ACTUALLY hurt you.

I remember being in my great grandmother's garage when I was very small. There was a weird looking scorpion just crawling across the ground. I had no idea what it was, but I knew to stay the hell away. I just walked back in the house and let it be on its way. I never saw anything like that ever again.

You should have handed it a tiny pamphlet/tiny Book of Mormon and asked it if it had found Jesus. It would have left, never to return, AND have told all it's scorpion friends.

I once stumbled across a black widow spider while changing the filter on a pool, which was pretty scary. I also saw several scorpions when I was in Key West. But all of that was a long ago. Oh, and one time a few months ago at my mom's when I was in the backyard I saw a snapping turtle, which can be nasty biters if you get too close.

I like scorpions. Not having them on me, but I like looking at them. I would have one if I could have its stinger and venom removed. I was chased by a five or six inch scorpion once while on a hike and it was hilarious. They're fast little buggers.

The only real insects that scare me are cockroaches. There's nothing they can do to hurt me, and I know it. They just freak the living dhit out of me :( I have a phobia from when one almost drowned me when I was younger.

I am not afaid of anything mentioned so far except for cockroaches. All you gotta do is get that scorpion in a cup and take it outside.

When I was 11 living in a small lakeside cabin, a big black spider (not a black widow, just black) with about an inch-long legspan dropped down atop me from our ceiling fan. Yeah. I didn't enjoy that.

This next experience was not scary but it was my only encounter with a scorpion (I thought it was neat). I was up in the mountains with my parents hunting for crystals (we like shiny things) and I lifted up a rock to find a small white scorpion underneath. I think it was drowsy because it hardly made an effort to crawl away. I was like twelve or thirteen.

When we were living in that cabin, we did encounter a lot of snakes, but I just assumed because they were small that they were harmless. It wasn't till later that I found out some of those snakes were poisonous. Good thing I never got bit.

You should definitely eat the turtle and the scorpion together. Form a stew of sorts.

I love the look of snapping turtles. Like miniature modern dinosaurs.
