I have a pretty strong feeling this will probably be the last round, the only CK competition that directly involved Knighting participants also went down 8 at the last round so I'm going to go ahead and make an assumption, as bad as an idea as that is.

Now, as tradition it is time for a rant. I can't help but express regret signing up for this competition because I now find myself in the exact position I didn't want to be in. Even if this is not the final round, being this close to the end brings a real thought of actually winning the competition, which makes it impossible for me to deny that I really do want to win. In the early rounds I could skate through, saying I had no chance, and just be myself completely ignoring anyone who told me I have a shot. Self dismissal was freeing, but now the possibility of me winning is one in eight, it's believable.

So I'm going to drop all facade of strength and ask for some mercy, if I'm out of the running for any reason (never had a chance from the beginning, a staff member has sworn me out, etc.) remove this Squire title from me right, now. Because being overly critical of everything I am doing, while doubting everything I've already done is pretty much what happened last time and it sucked! I don't want to feel strung along guys :(

Keep asking me questions! :jess: I was really happy when Del questioned me last round. I joined this place when I was 14, so using judging me now is a lot different from judging me then and I want to prove that to everyone. If this title is still here by the time the challenge is posted I'll know to keep being me and give it my all. Let the games continue.

EDIT: Del confirmed it was the final round as I posted this

What sorts of things do you think you could bring to the table as a staff member to make EoFF an even more active and enjoyable place than it already is? :jess:

1) Loony BoB has told Psychotic to "shut the smurf up". We don't allow swearing! We also don't allow people to order other people around in such a manner. Loony BoB has been a bad boy. He needs to be punished. What do you do?

Assuming he didn't go around the filter very little, we've certainly had worst posts than that here we aren't ShinRa. If he did, edit the post to not include it and slap on wrists and whatnot.

2) Pike and I'm My Own MILF were caught having sex in front of the children at her kindergarten. That's disgusting! What do you do?

Erm. Well, if I was there I'd probably contact the local authorities. Sorry guys that's not cool.

2a) Now the kids are asking what they were doing. What do you tell them?

You see when a man and a woman love each other, physically, outside of a bar...

3) Wolf Kanno is drunk. Again. He's also posting pornographic pictures of Pike and I'm My Own MILF having sex in front of children into a thread in <acronym title="Eyes on Final Fantasy">EoFF</acronym>. What do you do?

Drunk-tank temp ban to shut him up as a temporary solution, then discuss possible permaban with rest of staff, which will probably happen because we have a pretty strict anti-porn policy here.

4) Shiny is replying to threads with nothing more than the statement "fire_of_avalon, I forgive you for what you have done. I'm sorry for what I have also done. Let's make up. Will you marry me?" This has nothing to do with the topic of the threads, and she will not stop. What do you do?

Probably just give a "hey let's stay on topic and make private topics private" post. If it continues give a personal warning to stop over mognet message and start deleting these continued off-topics post posts.

5) Del Murder has set Eyes on Final Fantasy on fire. It's already reached The Lounge, and the smoke is making it hard for Raistlin and Vivi22 to breathe. What do you do?

Sounds like we need a lesson in fire safety (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BignPBV32Sk)

6) krissy has started a thread demanding that all of Staff step down because "they're a bunch of titty pussy wanking homotwats that couldn't tell a mothersmurfer from a toilet seat if it hit them on the head." What do you do?

Assuming the thread is made in the public and is as inappropriate as you made it sound, probably just close the thread, snip out in and tell krissy that complaints with the staff can be brought up in the private feedback section.

7) Rantzien has been constantly entering porn links into the #<acronym title="Eyes on Final Fantasy">eoff</acronym> chatroom. What do you do?

Assuming I have ban capabilities in the #eoff chatroom, ban him and tell him he can't do that, assuming I don't pass the problem to someone who is equip to deal with it.

8) Hypoallergenic Cactuar is humping your leg. What do you do?

Having trained a lot of dogs in my time, swift knees to the chest tend to solve the problem.

9) Hypoallergenic Cactuar isn't humping your leg. What do you do?

Hump his leg.

10) You're unsure of what to do. What do you do?
I am not never unsure. Either that or jerk it.

To start I can pretty damn active when I want to be! Importantly I have a lot of skills in organization, throughout high school I worked in my dad's office all throughout high school, and college taught me how to put together large scale projects (which hopefully I've shown in my handling of the round 2).

I am capable working on forums only events as I've shown, but I'm also more versed in programming now (having gone through actual courses) and I know CSS and HTML, and I have been wanting to learn PHP, and Javascript for some time so I can help with frontsite issues competently.

I made only one promise about this round, I will not alter my opinions previous to discussion to please anyone. My opinions are my opinions, so if that activity thread damns me instead of proving a point, I don't care. That thread will probably get the mosts posts, exactly proving my point of a large problem of this site.

Catching up on a contest this big is a right bitch. >_>;

I have three main concerns regarding yourself as a staffer, Mr. Boko.

1. Activity. Many people have come and gone in flourishes in the past, yourself included. Many people have had good reasons, too - it's not a bad thing to have a life, and I respect it entirely. My query is simple: You say you are going to stick around. What happens if the server goes to crap again? What happens if, upon getting to your next destination in life (uni/work/chicken coop/whatever) you find yourself snowed under? There tend to be three options when this happens. Firstly, announce your departure from being active. Secondly, hang around during whatever hours you can muster together making posts and whatnot. Thirdly, sort of hang around, but not really be very active, and kind of just waver until the staff say "er, you're kind of inactive, and this is awkward, but..."

2. Attitude. Okay, you don't have much of an attitude lately, but you haven't really been hugely active over the years so I will be up front and say that in the past you were really rude on occasion. This is two years or more ago, sure, but you have to understand that you haven't been around on a consistent level since then so it's tricky to really judge your attitude. It looks great and all, but sometimes either a troll, an idiot or an old "friend" will come along and you will just really want to bite at them. What happens then?

3. Enthusiasm for Final Fantasy. In recent months I have had a yearning for more people who are genuinely pumped for Final Fantasy to join staff. Now, these people are (sadly) few and far between and I'm not sure how many even exist on EoFF these days, but the question remains. This is a Final Fantasy website. How interested are you in Final Fantasy? If possible, answer for past, recent and future Final Fantasy games. Because I know you're loving getting questions lately. :D

If I'm staff and it is something like a server problem, I'll fight through it and fight to help fix it. Then it will be a responsibility of mine to be here through thick and thin, a responsibility I do not have as a normal user or even as a Recognized Member. If it's a life issue that absolutely makes this place impossible to muster and keep up with, I'll step down. I don't think that will happen, because I've spent a lot of time over the past 2 years getting myself in a position to succeed, but if life was predictable, it'd be easy. Apparently I'm the only contestant here who feels staff need to be active to be effective. If I was unable to perform in a matter I consider satisfactory and I hold myself to a high standard, I would step down until I could perform again.

2. Attitude. Okay, you don't have much of an attitude lately, but you haven't really been hugely active over the years so I will be up front and say that in the past you were really rude on occasion. I've done a lot of growing up and what happens then is exactly what happens this very second BoB! I take myself out of the situation. I'll be honest, many of the opinions I'm seeing in the in the Mog Central forum seem to be a lot of people sucking up to staff and not necessarily saying what they believe in. I'm heated about that right now. So I'm not going to engage. I'm going to let it go. If say PuPu was unbanned, someone I know from real life and do not get along with at all. I would let someone else from staff handle it and I would keep my mouth closed. A staff team is a team for a reason right? I don't have to deal with everything myself and I'm mature enough to know when to shut my yap (like right now in that staff activity thread). Especially because I know I can be wrong but my emotion won't let me see it at the time. I think I've learned how to use my natural strong headedness when I need it, and shut myself down when it's going to make me say something I regret. Or at the very least apologize for it later on.

I can't give you much more than my word on this one. Final Fantasy is my favorite game series. I've beaten I, IV-X, XII, XIII and some spinoffs and I'll continue to play, I actually just picked up a ROM of FFV advance because I don't have my DS with me and I intend to beat that game because it's a shame I haven't.

Gobo, say you didn't win this competition. What do you think your immediate reaction would be and what would your lasting reaction be?

Well, I did specifically say in the first round if you all put me in the final round I'd find and kill all of you

Nah.
Immediate reaction (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0MKLnTqjLM)

Lasting reaction: I'd get over it after a day or so, and go run my event, and start my 'boko playing FFV thread I planned on making, and read the FF forums, and post in the dark souls thread and just generally post the way I would've had this not gone on.

Don't get me wrong, I really want to win this, Kace and Dakoda probably only made that more so (which didn't particularly help :p). The staff are leaders of the forum, but so are active users who run things, I don't need a shiny CK title to be a "leader" here, I feel I just need to go about my business as I normally do.

EDIT: man I blew a mini shit-fit yesterday, ah someone had to stir the pot. Lest we just have a circle jerk of agreement!

Been doing a lot of thinking about this. Win or lose - this might be my CK Comp Swan Song.

It may be a while, but eventually they will probably do this again and even if I'm not staff at the time I don't know if I'll enter. Having already been to the finals once I was reluctant to this time, however that event was a troll joke and I wanted to see how far I'd go in the real thing. So now I'm here at the end of a real CK event and I'm being whimsical. I don't think I'll be seeing my name in the "Winners" revelation, no all, GoBo for CK is and will always be the impossible dream! Hero the Gotham deserves and whatnot! By this point staff, you guys should know who I am, you should know I'm interested, you should know I want to help - so I think next time you guys run an event like this, it might be a idea for me to let someone else shine (or trip over themselves like I do) in the finals. Unless you all really, really love me for my entertainment value.

However, if there's even a slight chance I'm going to go out, it damn well better be with a bang so I have one last thread for our moogle central forum! (http://home.eyesonff.com/mognet-central/144740-congratulations.html#post3125582)

It's the same reason I didn't put my name in the hat for this. Certainly it would be an enjoyable experience but I would like to see what others can do. That being said, you've done a bang up job of creating an event so it wasn't at all a waste for you!
