View Full Version : Contemplating a screenshot run of a notorious ROM hack

Some of you may have played Awful Fantasy 3. It's an FF6 ROM hack that was released on Something Awful about nine years ago and contains a lot of really random graphic switching and some SA-related jokes, some of which floated over my head, others were funny in their own right.

Here's the thing: I wanna do a screenshot run of it but the humour is crass, a li'l shocking and rather immature, and potentially inappropriate for these forums. I would have no issue with censoring any screenshots I'd post (removing swears and offensive images) but I have on more than one occasion had an external link snipped from a post I made because it was considered too offensive for these parts.

As it happens it's been a while since I played FF6 and this would be a nice excuse to go through it again despite some slight differences in how the characters play.

What do you all reckon? Should I go for it or not?

I'm doing the exact same thing with The Devil's Jockstrap's hack of FF5 and it seems to be going pretty well.

Yeah, though either my imagination is a bit vivid or the game I'm planning on doing makes the one you're doing look rather tame by comparison. No discredit to what you're doing of course, I'm just saying that may be the case. I guess I'll start up the game, gather some screenies, start a new thread and see how well it goes down :P

I'll take that as a blessing, Mr. Admin sir!
