Apparently this happened a few years back: NASA Offers $5000 a Month For You to Lie in Bed | Wired Science | Wired.com (http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/05/nasa-offers-500/)

TLDR: NASA pays you $5000 a month to lie in bed for three months straight. A computer, TV, and video games are provided.

Would you do it or would you go absolutely insane by having to pee in a pan for three months?

I would do it anyway

For 5000 dollars a month I would just lay in bed and pee in a pan, video games or no.

I would do this if I didn't have to go through dialysis three times a week.

I would do it, I think. It's more or less how I lived my life when I was laid off back for 5 months in 2009.

A lot of people dun get paid so much when they lie on the bed with another person on top of them doing various acts together. This is unfair!! They are both lying on the bed! :mad2:

I would do it if I didn't think I would go insane with not having any work to do :( depending on the selection of games, that is.

No, the solitude would get me down so badly. Talking to friends online can only do so much for me.

I would totally do this. I hope they provide me with a bitching laptop though.

I would do this, I'd probably be very weak after since my muscles weren't getting exercise but heck yeah i'd do that. That's probably the point though...

I could not do it. As much as it might seem like something right up my alley, I love my sport way too much. If they were willing to do some hardcore body strengthening stuff with me I might consider it though. I mean like, if they gave me a room like Goku's space pod where I can increase the gravity by tiny margins to build strength post-test then I would be all over it.

Fuck being a lawyer.

Btw, Bubba just did this for the last month. He can probably give us some insight.

son of a

no

though i guess there's appeal if you don't pull down 60k a year

"A computer, TV, and video games are provided." - what about food/drink what about internet what about cable what kind of video games the questions go on and on and on and on and on

still i don't like the idea of being on expensive welfare and NASA can do better things with their money like go to the moon or something

Chamber pot clearly. You're bed ridden or maybe they give colonic every couple of days.

I'd be tempted tbh if it was GBP. 17k for 90 days is a very handsome pay. Afterwards I'd never lay still again though I'd be running around and doing all manner of sports constantly to make use of my body and to make up for it.

Pfft, as if I could sit still for more than five minutes.

I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED THIS.

Maybe we could play video games in a room that's three times earth's gravity? We'd build muscle just from having to sit up straight and hold the controller :D

I am actually going to invest in those weighted training implements, such as wrist and ankle straps as well as a vest in order to build muscle without extra effort.

I assumed you already had those? I wear the ankle weights and the armstrap things every day, even when I'm working. I should get a weighted vest too. I don't know why I hadn't thought of getting one already.
